after playing three 5k games and getting last in every single one of them, I have lost any faith in the quality of this site as a 'strategy game' and decided to quit

It appears just plain and simple out - game messenger alliances, where anyone like me who ever rejected any offers to play along that way (using messenger) would just be used and lost....

Enjoy screwing people for virtual points or in RL, whatever, it does not make sense to waste time any further time here. Sorry if I hurt anybodies`feelings, but something is definately going terribly wrong here.

the 6v3 was ok to do but you missmanaged afterwards, people saw you struggling for control over the board (not enough authority in chat) and pwned you for that. The circle flag situation didn't just happen by accident, it's a typical 5k situation where the lesser experienced player end up losing the chat battle.

It was far from a one hit situation, since even if it won and you went on to kill most lands, you were very overstretched if you tried a 1hit, farming some was ok to do I guess

Everyone cheats and the mods support it and promote it and try to make sure that anyone who doesn't support it is ostracized. You have been part of this bullshit for a while on the 500's Pres. Stop being a piece of shit baby and crying about it when someone else (and different mods) does it to you on a higher board.

Crybaby bitch.

Yes! being a 5 k N00B seems a fairly g00d X-planation for my bad performance on 5k

however it is not as easy / simple as that...

including my diverse alts, I have been sitting approx. ~ 30 to 40 '5 k-games' in my entire career,

How so?

any time I reach 5 k with an alt that I do not seek medal honours with, I would just prefer to 'waste'
my points within the last 2 days enjoying the participation in the final skirmishes for the top 3 ranks,
possibly taking a benevolant influence in a sense of non-side taking (???neutral) participation

So many of you may have been sitting those unknowingly with one of my lil sisters...
[I bet monte will grin at 'mei mei' if he happens to read this....]

Also I have had a time when i deliberately decided to dare and sit 5 k, no matter what outcome for the monthly.

My experiences in those days were some 4 or 5 first placements, a few rANKS 2 - 5 (at least two of them being eventually stabbed
instead of getting my deserved and flagged to first place)
and abundant 6ths and 7th places... which is the reason for this post

Now this constitutes the (hard) core of the problem:

I very much share Captain Lagers`s opinion that more players ought to sit 2 and 5 k rather than 500s with 50+k on their
ccounts, but apparently even prospective blue medalists are 'chicken'= scared of the ongoings on higher tables...
Why in heaven`s name would they else be wasting their precious time on 500 instead of 2k e.g. ????

My personal experience:

Many a time I perceive players only moving 2nd or 3rd best of al the options they have (or will not move at all)
instead of their optimum, just in order to take out
the unknown N00bs INSTEAD OF THEIR otf (old trusted friends)

Having played some 5 k (5000, yes !) games alltogether, I feel quite experienced enough to read games and understand the impacts
of certain moves and just as well the consequences of omitting them...

Weird, unjustified flags may lead to similarly distorted results.

Now some replies to your treasured comments:

@veta:
you beat me in miles.. I know

Don`t tell chinese about manipulation, skill, and diplomacy .... (it`s their field of excellence)
Anyhow, it does not mean i am specifically good at it, but if you get eliminated or crippled within the first 2 rounds,
you have virtually no chance for diplomacy or even complaining
like i stated below, amongst moves of different quality you always always have the alternative to decide in favour of
of moves of secondory or tertiary quality, yet sparing your otfs in the opening phase ....

>>> this is the point I complain about ! FYI: I have played dicewars and found it boring

@ reminder:
Thnx for your encouraging message... I will add you and enjoy sitting with my any of my alts
I f have posted this before... I love zero and 1oo tables since they cause much less headache
Yet:
President has been assassinated and we would have to see yet whether she would survive this or not...
I agree kdice is still a fun game yet also too addictive... don`t let it consume your precious lifetime

@@ henry:
Partially agreed, mostly not though.. pls. see my in depth explanations above

Much like you, I am more of a tourney player though and have performed well if not won in all important tourneys
safe members` which i never joined....
such I account for a dozen top 4 placings in the 2k tourney, sunday slam, monday 500 and numerous (~ 100) payout
positions 1-7 in various others such as 100s, freerolls and 250s

therefore I don`t think I have any lack in game practice..., maybe of quick mind/ cleverness at times though

@@@ kdiceplaya!
who ever had a chnace to control or even proof that other chat besides the inbuilt is being used ???

@@@@ (bar)Matt:
you are too nice for this game .... lol

this will virtuall barr you from success, since you are not as ambitious as myself for instance

@@@@ rifty:
if this ought to be an alt, I think I know who you are... funny comment !

@@@@@ jurgen:
I very much appreciate you as a person,a player as well as your efforts to get more tranparency into the game
and less cheating...

Nevertheless many ways to cheat are obviously not to be stopped:

E.g. I could easily use my neighbors`internet access and sit one table with 2 or 3 players without anyone noticing...
I could invite my friends to sit a 2 or 5 k with me and play friendly
Moreover I could ask a friend to ping other players from an unknown IP (have ben pinged myslef repeatedly)
I bet there are plenty other ways to beat any strategy with smart assed cleverness...

@@@@@@ Yodel:
I have always admired and appreciated your bluntness and freaky accusations, much like DDDYA you are the pain in the butt,
the wiki-leaks of kdice...
Reading your comment reminds my of my own bad deeds / Wrongdings - dirty deeds done dirt cheap !!! (AC DC)

@@@@@@@ CowboyBebop:
Thanks for protecting me from yodel`s wild attacks, but keep in mind he`s apparently putting the finger in any bleeding wound
marking hyppocrites like myself...

I agree in a sense that I have seen quite a few 5k games, with or without play by myself.
It is quite common to fight 2v1 against '5k noobs' wheres very rarely to join a noob to fight 2v1 with an experienced player. In particular, I have seen a game where at the begining player A refused to fight 2v1 against player B and after few rounds they both fought player D exactly 2v1. Actually he had to trade 3! teritories with another guy to do this, cause he was in a different part of a table. And I have seen quite a few 3v1 or 4v1. I personally liked fackfuce explanation about going 2v1 against me and not accepting my flag: 'I usually does not play like that, but you see' or sth like that. That's why people accuse experienced players of being PGA. I can imagine that it's not a pga, its an obvious first round truce by 4 people against a noob :)
good luck pres with other accounts

Nobody says rich people are PGA because they don't let other people get rich? You just gotta pay your dues guys and then you'll become a rich person too and you can keep the poor people (noobs) down.

Everyone was a noob at this game at some point. Learn the players and playing stlyes at 5k's and show your face more than "once in awhile" and you'll have more success. Everybody got slammed the first few times they played a 5k game. Get over it.
