after playing three 5k games and getting last in every single one of them, I have lost any faith in the quality of this site as a 'strategy game' and decided to quit
It appears just plain and simple out - game messenger alliances, where anyone like me who ever rejected any offers to play along that way (using messenger) would just be used and lost.... Enjoy screwing people for virtual points or in RL, whatever, it does not make sense to waste time any further time here. Sorry if I hurt anybodies`feelings, but something is definately going terribly wrong here. |

It's sad but it's true guilt tripping people works. If I say "OMG X BUT I DID A,B, & C FOR YOU WHY WOULD YOU SCREW ME LIKE THIS" then Player X will hook player Y up with a decent deal at the expense of those who don't chat (or bitch). If you want to play a game that is about manipulation, skill, and diplomacy play 5k. If you want to play a game that's about dumb luck play dice wars. To be honest I never found rolling dice all that entertaining. |

at 2:57 PM, Thursday January 27, 2011 EST Presi... You should really try doing what I do, I mean playing 0s till you have 500, 100s till 5k and intentionally dumping points above 5ks or switching accounts. It's possible to play 500s, but the real cheating begins there, so it's up to you to have some fixed games or none at all.
KDice is a really fun game, and even though low games don't provide the best entertainment I can imagine (I mean, competing with people of proper skill), it's still quite fun when you play at low tables, where points hoes don't cheat. Sometimes it's even fun to be luck screwed when your opponent sucks and you know it, but his luck owns you :) By the way, you're fine friends with my second main. Add me, we might chat a bit later on if you'll still play. |

at 11:35 AM, Friday January 28, 2011 EST just quit for a few days, and come back fresh
stay away from 5k unless you don't mind losing the points, 2k is fun enough fro most I saw your 3rd game where you decided to quit. You just had a very rough start where all your lands were in bad spots. It was round 1, there even wasn't time yet for people to truce. First round people just connect to get the best base possible. you happened to be in everybody's way I think. Your points are valid in later stages of the game but your last game exit was totally due to bad placing and bad luck imo. |

at 12:11 PM, Friday January 28, 2011 EST Zoid, Madhat, Monte, Das, Shad etc aren't superhuman. They don't have something you can't learn no matter what their ego may say. The only way you can learn is by trying, and when you try you lose points. Come back and try again.
I remember when I first started and was happy to play a 500, now I think how can you not get top100. You are a good player, and nice to play with. You pawn 100tourneys etc because you've played a lot of them. How many 5k have you played in your career? I've played less than 20 5k, so I'm not hugely disappointed I don't have the success rate of more prominent players, but I aim to change that. Having said that, kdice is a huge waste of time and quitting is probably sensible, but we all know, once you pop you can't stop. |

henry, I am sure you know which 5k I mean from yesterday where you totally blew your easy win by lack of experience (and some bad luck too but also for that bad luck part, a more experienced player will know how to secure his 1st). I am sure that in 20 or more 5k games, you won't make those mistakes again |

at 3:27 PM, Friday January 28, 2011 EST The game with zoid and travis where I failed the 6v3 to practically 1hit zoid, but everyone said I should have just asked zoid to flag? Yeah I noobed it AND got super unlucky at the same time. But most newer players will get super nervous on a 5k when you are left with cpr and zoid. I was sure they would stab if I didn't win it outright, and come on who doesn't 6v3 for a big farm win? Wasn't even that nooby, just super unlucky.
