I sit in as teal in a 500 table and the game starts. There is a tremendous amount of chat that is mostly cryptic to me, non-game related and difficult to folow. Then within the first two rounds there is lots of talk of "countering" someone. The discussion was very unclear, with many colours being mentioned. I ask several times who is truced and who is countering, and no one gives me a clear answer. I had a good start and was in a position for first or second. Within the next few rounds, I soon find out that five of the players were in fact "countering" myself and brown, who I had spent the first few rounds attacking. They insisted that I flag no higher than sixth and worked together to kill me off.
The five users who "countered" me in round 2 were: Smurf You Boner Oiler snow leopard J Awesome CockBlock I am quite bewildered about this. Can someone explain this to me? |

and boogybytes, one thing that is important is that you have to know the relationships on the higher tables. i, for one, didnt realize that greek <3's veta (boner oiler). this resulted in me losing a game earlier. oh well, wont make that mistake again. just try to keep a mental record of who usually helps whom, and that way when you sit with them, you can focus on their games, and as soon as you see the slightest teamwork between them, you MUST use the chatbox and start yelling at everyone else to counter them 5v2. generally, this has a good chance of working if you yell loud enough. gl at the tables. |

Nothing happened between brown and I before they all decided to "counter" us. He only flagged me many rounds later after I had taken several of his lands. Obviously, I woulnd't have attacked him at all had someone communicated to me clearly that we were being forced into a truce. Why would they call it a "counter" if he never flagged and we weren't truced? |

I don't really like to complain, but this really doesn't seem fair. |
