Sure, if you want to be a real nerd, you are sort of right, it's an average and it's even rounded down from 9,806 or something at the equator at sea level but anyway, this is a quote for highschool (and on a kdice forum), so my try at a funny science fact was accurate enough to put in a classroomm imo :-).

But actually I am still right since I won't be moving my hypothetical vacuum construction where I will be throwing in crocodiles, dogs, elephants,... Whatever the acceleration constant is at the location where I will set up the experiment, all animals will still drop with the same acceleration in that vacuum tube.
