flags never killed this game, that would be suicide because flags ARE this game. its as simple as that. lemme give you an example. when we play other games, say basketball, there are certain aspects that suck. you're not allowed to grab the ball and run across the court to the other basket and put it in. you have to dribble. now one could say, "ohhh, dribbling killed this game" or they could just accept it and learn to dribble.
having said that, as long as ur not aiming for top 3 you can just play 0 and 100 they're so fun because no one cares and most people dont flag they just fight til death |

fuck points im going to play for kills. if kills could somehow be incorporated into the points awarded in the each game, this would severely cripple the strength of a vflag. like on some poker tables ive played there is a kill bonus, where when you sit down at the table with a $10 buy-in, $9 goes towards the payout scheme of 1st gets $xx, 2nd gets $yy, and 3rd gets $zz, and then the extra $1 that everyone has left behind becomes their kill bonus. so whoever puts you out of the game gets that $1. and since the current kdice system is designed as a poker table system anyways, this addition could easily be added. 90% of your ante (or 80% or whatever) goes towards the payouts to 1st 2nd 3rd, and 10% (or 20% or whatever) goes to whoever kills you. that way, when someone puts up a weak vflag that would very possibly be honored, not only would 1st place be less likely to honor it, but the entire table would be less likely to start bitching and proposing counters and shit. i really like this idea. |
