Flags killed this game!

I started playing Kdice in 2006, but didn't play for the last 6 months.
I've been playing for 3 days now, and I have to say: I hate what Kdice have become: a game of whine ass flaggers!

90% of the games go like this:
In round 3, someone gets a good restack and everyone starts yelling: 'I flag to you!'. Oh, no-one actually flags... because they want 2nd, even if they only have 1 land left.
They all start making crazy moves because the giant stack is their friend now... the normal players trying to play a nice war game (that's what kdice is about) get slaughtered for trying. Round 5: game over... everyone flagged.

This game used to be fun: truces of 2 players versus the rest, games where 4 players are fighting for 1st, 40 round games, ...
Now it's 6vs1 because you don't want to flag in round 5.

After 4 years playing Kdice, I'm seriously thinking of never playing it again (ok, no-one cares :-) but I don't care).

In a last attempt to change the game again, I hope many players follow my example: if someone yells 'I flag to you', make him your next target. If they wanna flag, make them actually put their flag up or finish them.

I'm probably nuts thinking anyone cares, but I had to say this.

I agree with DonGaz it has ruined kdice, rather epically. all you seem to get now is annoying players who once they have said "i flag" from round 2 to round 8 expect it to be respected and if u have a look at my reviews.... its a good example of the crap they write about you because you haven't respected their flag (Boo bloody hoo).

Don't flag round 3 i wont purposly kill you! XD

Seems to me you should be playing on the tables that count dominance, where it's a lot quicker and easier to be killed because points are awarded for taking more of the board instead of just having more than anyone else.

Many players like the way the current flagging system works, which rewards lower players with a chance to fight for the 2-5 spots and get a chance to enjoy the game too rather than just being an exercise in the luckiest one or two running the table on everyone else just because they can.

I think the solution to this is simple, two types of tables. One with no dominance and the current flagging for place system, and another with the dominance system and no place flags, only a "surrender" button you can hit to immediately resign from the game if you're doomed.

That way, both play styles are accommodated and everyone's happy.

And another one gone... When will it get disturbing or is so much new blood entering the game?

As for the flagging - there is situations where I can understand and accept it. Dom helps, hanging around for 20 rounds is quite costly... And, there is no obligation to accept virtual flags.
