With ryans u really just dont want 7th or 6th, after 2 are out all that counts is first. its not even worth to go for second as only one first finish will allow u to finish 5th so often and still be in positive points.

does this affect the tournaments as well?

sam has a good point (i think he made one between the lines). the point distribution is only part of the problem. The other part is the current dom system. It punishes aggressive play and rewards cautious play and vflagging.
Right now, if you flag in round 1 you lose plenty of dom points.
Instead your dom should be +/-0 and with each new round every player who is still on the table throws something into the dom pot. Maybe 20% each round. Then after round 5 the dom is full. This has the advantage that you only pay dom, you were able to win back.

If that's the case nonz, that means it isn't broken........it's working. Flagging to two or three people gets you NOTHING now. Might as well truce someone, roll some dice, and play for 1st/2nd. No more pussy dice where you can sit in the corner for 15 rounds with 2 lands........build them up..........then attack the guy next to you who's been fighting all game.........and steal his 3rd place. 3rd place is meaningless now. Play to win or don't play at all.

I will have to recalibrate the TAZD. This month I will report the standings using the current calibration, then at the end of the month determine the new zero datum and compare the recalibrated stats to the uncalibrated ones.
