The 80s also were probably the last decade when global politics and basically every else seemed to be simple: On the one hand, the rich and superior Western countries with unlimited consumerism and various cultural developments (crazy fashion styles, awesome music, blockbuster movies and blockbuster TV shows). And btw: NO INTERNET!!! I also think that personal freedom was also greater back then. AND you didn't need a PhD to get a simple job. On the other hand the communistic inferior East only administrating its poverty (good for everyone who didn't live there). And the least developed countries about which no one really cared. Now we have things like: Climate change, financial crisis, oil shortage, Internet spying, higher unemployment rate and a global economy which gets a bit nastier every day... So yeah... The person who had the idea bringing back the 80s in our avatar should get a +. (joking) |
