Is it only me who is tired of all the early vflags?

I think it's about time that we all try to do something about it because I think it destroys many games.

Let us stand together on this and punish those who vflag in the first 5 rounds. Maybe this will make people stop flagging as soon as they see a tower.

Here are the reasons why I see people not liking vflags.

They want #1 to farm #2 so they can win their small corner and get #2 for themselves.

They like to farm and don't like the negative publicity they get from their actions. Despite what they may claim.

The vflag exposes their pga.

Not saying that every vflag should be accepted but there is another side to this....

hmm I disagree Yodel,
I think vFlagging is most annoying because people resort to it too soon and too often, handing the game to whoever gets an advantage early.
It takes away a lot of the better strategy of the game, that is, how to manage a longer complicated game.

Totally disagree with TBY as well jpc4p got a good point. vflag should be treated as a truce if its accepted cause these players will no longer be at war with eachother and most siturations they end up helping eachother one way or another.

Another reason not to like early vflags is they are for players without balls who would be better off playing Sims instead of a war game!

in the old days truce meant the same vflags does now, truce meant lets not fight for now. then players started to see that truce was an alliance

Well vflagging is a sign of other shit that happens. A lot of players like dasfury and monte and gurgi and there are more will say things that appear to be truces or flags but hen backstab you right at the worst moment.

Imo that's worse than throwing an early flag.

If you make a game with very little SOCIAL consiquences for certain behaviors you have to be prepared for the game to resolve itself. Which it has with vagina flags.

Personally I would rather play 10 games in an hour than 1-2 games.

Flagging is fine stop cyring? :)

Btw if you totally disagree with me then you aren't playing enough dice to see what is going on out there Lum. No offense.

i admit there is some truth to what yod says. im sure i dont speak for all of us old turds, but i know i speak for myself when i say that i am a devious sonofabitch. i will try to manipulate any situation in any way possible to find an edge... to move from 5th to 4th, whatever. and the vflag dilemma is an excellent arena for me to fuck around in.

in one game, i will openly opine about how lame/wrong/sinful it is for an empty 3rd-round vflag to be respected, because i will finish below the vflagger on the opposite side of the map. in the next game, i will be the 3rd-round vflagger who will aggressively argue that my vflag should be respected.

i mean, in the end (and this might just be me speaking for myself again), if i want to gain points (cus im a pointwhore), then i will bend logic as much as possible to always support me. and that means completely contradicting my playstyle from game-to-game. and then i will try to cover it all up with a clean whitewash trying to say things in chatbox like 'lol', 'gg dude, nice kill', 'great playing with you again', 'sorry man, you got screwed there', or whatever empty pleasantries, so that people wont realize or focus on the fact that i am a duplicitous douche.

there are a few people who have seen through my charades and either 1) hate/avoid me or 2) respect me because they play the same lame game of shame (think: das). but dont get me wrong, i dont treat all opponents the same, as pawns to manipulate. there are definitely people who play this game that i enjoy losing to much more than others. its a great community.
