Push to eliminate the rolloff

Many times we see that 2 people flagged for the same place cannot get to each other to fight it out. The recent trend has been to allow each player to roll once and award the highest roller the place in question. In a game that revolves around fighting, resolving a stalemate with one arbitrary roll seems dumb. Whether in tournies or regular tables, I propose we eliminate the rolloff and instituting rolldowns. A rolldown would work as such:
- The player in the lead, or whoever borders those engaged in a stalemate over a place, rolls each guy once and only once. - Stalemated players are allowed to fight back and defend their place. - The last one standing wins. Pretty simple, eh?* * The use of 'eh' is not meant to be offensive to residents of America's hat.** ** No offensive meant by this either. Other than that - if all are flagged and 2 players claim the same rank, let Dom decide as it rewards performance over the entire game. No rolling, no nothing - player with more Dom wins, the other gets the lower rank. |

I have said since my return that roll offs rewards poor play, and reinforce the whole "I'm a special snow flake" mentality. We've all seen someone hole up in a corner, and then ask for a roll off. Fuck that in the neck. |
