Push to eliminate the rolloff

Many times we see that 2 people flagged for the same place cannot get to each other to fight it out. The recent trend has been to allow each player to roll once and award the highest roller the place in question. In a game that revolves around fighting, resolving a stalemate with one arbitrary roll seems dumb. Whether in tournies or regular tables, I propose we eliminate the rolloff and instituting rolldowns. A rolldown would work as such:
- The player in the lead, or whoever borders those engaged in a stalemate over a place, rolls each guy once and only once. - Stalemated players are allowed to fight back and defend their place. - The last one standing wins. Pretty simple, eh?* * The use of 'eh' is not meant to be offensive to residents of America's hat.** ** No offensive meant by this either. I happen to appreciate Canada for Labatts, Ice Hockey and the many comedians that have graced American TV and Film. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Canadian_comedians) |

When both players are down to 1-2 lands, the ORDER in which the players are attacked significantly matters. In this situation, roll offs are actually MORE fair, as it allows both players to roll, instead of just one player if a lucky attack is won.

I think round 1 roll offs would be the best. |
