THE END OF PGAS!!!!!

These are the organized ideas from my other topic. PLEASE RYAN, READ THIS UNTIL THE END:
1)What if we COULDN'T SEE THE NAME of the players we're playing against? Than allies couldn't know who's his/her partner in the table. 2)Not only that but also, if THERE'S NO CHAT, then there's no way they can even stabilish a code to know who they are... 3) Also, if we're sent to an RANDOM TABLE BASED IN POINTS, there's no way allies can even know where they are. Like this: If player 1 want to play in alliance with player 2 in a 0 points table... And they're sent to a random 0 points table... The plan is over... Even if they're by luck sent to the same table, there's no way they will know it because of the first 2 ideas... So instead of tables, we should see lines like this: Line for 0 points: 27 people waiting, 17 seconds remaining to form next tables. Line for 100 points: 4 people waiting, 8 seconds remaining to form a table. 4) THE COLORS AND POSITIONS ARE RANDOM as soon as you enter the table. That way, even if the PGAs describe the table they are to confirm they're there, they will not know who they are. Cuz in their page, they'll always be number 1 player with color they prefer. (Since there's no chat box, we could have a new feature to take place and actually help couldn't we?). If they even dare to describe the table they are at and talk by MSN or something the time they're playing, we could even try a number 5: 5) THE FORMATION OF THE LINES OF PEOPLE FOR THE TABLE SHOULD BE "TIME BASED" and not autamatic. That way, even if PGAs click the kind of table they like at the same time, they will have to wait about 30 seconds until the line is formed and then mixed. This idea came from "L": "6)On a side note, Id love to see a "flag box" in place of the chat box. In my view a "flag box" would basically have 6 flags with the 6 corresponding colors next to a flag. If you want to flag someone, you click the flag next to there color and BOTH YOURSELF AND THE PERSON YOU FLAGGED TOO CAN NO LONG ATTACK EACH OTHER. If I had a dollar everytime I would flag (VFlag or real flag) and got attacked to see "sorry didn't see" typed in Id be a billionaire. This could be abused by people suiciding and than flagging of course so some kind of program that wouldn't allow you to flag a person for atleast 1 rd after attacking them would have to be developed but I think its doable." And just to remember, that would also prevent people that take advantage of the flag to stack dices and atack later... IF THE ADM THINK ABOUT IT, A LOT OF PEOPLE DON'T PLAY ANYMORE BECAUSE OF PGAS, BUT IF THERE ARE NO LONGER PGAS, THAT MEANS MORE PEOPLE WILL PLAY... AND SURELY MEANS MORE MONEY SINCE IT WILL BE WORTHY TO PEOPLE THAT REALLY APRECIATE THE GAME. As I told... That means more money. When Ryan started this game, he surely saw potential for it somehow (for amount of players, or money, or something). If he had the effort to put this game in practice, and he agree it would be good for the game in both ways (player and money), why wouldn't he have the effort to change for better if he had the effort to start it? I still have a hope... But if that don't happen, I'm sure somebody will copy the idea and do it better just as they did with games like "Tactics 100 Live" that was copyed and turned into the better "Tactics Arena". If you think about it, kdice is only a multiplayer copy of "Dice Wars", shouldn't be hard to some developer to take it to another level... All they need is space on the net. |

at 6:23 PM, Monday September 7, 2009 EDT Well, PGAs arent the problem anymore, teams are...
#1 no social gaming anymore. we cant see whos backstabbing. the door would be wide open for asshats in any kind. #2 thats the point of a social game #3 but most people wanna know who theyre playing against. #4 wont work. #5 And even if we try, big teams will still sit together and find a way to push someone or each other. And(!) seriously, i dont wanna wait 3 days to play a 2/5k. Could work for lower tables, but for higher ones? #6 Well, but social gaming is the goal. Backstabbing is a part of it. Countering a flag as well. I've no clue. I like the game like it is. Yes, a bit more moderating could be nice, to kill the hardcore pgas and teams, just to keep em small. There always have been pgas, friends, teams, there always will be - dont try to kill the whole game, cause of some people doing it too excessive. Get countertruces, use the chatbox, watch the board for obvious moves... thats the goal! mfg me |

at 7:18 PM, Monday September 7, 2009 EDT If the social part is that much important, we could split kdice in a non-social part and a social part. The lines would actually help it cuz we wouldn't need so many tables.
About the number 5, you wouldn't wait so long. I often see 2 people in a 0 table... other 2 in another 0 table and more 3 in another... If all of them formed a line to one random table, that means FASTER formations because they can't choose the table. They will just go there through the lines. About the number 4, I think could work well cuz I've seen a few multiplayer games that don't have position defined and still works. The dices are putted RANDOMLY on the table... and if you see the players as dices too... is the same thing. Either way... These are just ideas... A lot of people don't play anymore because of PGAs... |

at 7:42 PM, Monday September 7, 2009 EDT As said Kdice is a 'social online strategy game'. However kdice in going downhill in my oponion, and fast. Not for the people that get on and play a few games and are simply on the chat and "kill" people to pass some time, but for the person like myself. Sure I like to get on kdice and chat to several ppl and try to have fun. I'm also competative and want to make top 100 and receive a trophy. I find this nearly impossible to do and have fun at the same time, due to pga's. After 3 weeks of fighting at 500 tables and attending tournaments i would like to fight some 2k's and 5k's. Which I've discovered is very difficult to do with all the pga's. From what i've played of 5k there is a pga of atleast 3 peopel everytime contending for top 3...always teaming up after an actually flag is up and not allowing a fight or if rightfully a position knocked out. I refuse to sink to that level to pla a game and create a pga, which dooms me on 2k and 5k.
I payed to be a member for a duration of a year, and I'm having serious doubts about my choice. i know i won't be bringing my business back to Ryan, which won't make a defference in the large scheme of things and he probally doesn't even read these posts anymore. But something clearly needs to be done about pga, I agree with the idea number 6, still keeping an 8 round limit on the ability to flag. I hate to support such an idea but people obviously can't play a game respectably and honorable to be trusted not to pga. Yes, I say repectably and honorably because it does matter how you present yourself no matter what you are doing. I hope Ryan reads this thread and takes it seriously, kdice is a business now that money is involved, and customers are not happy with the product. |

at 4:51 PM, Tuesday September 8, 2009 EDT #6 is the only plausible idea and even that would be nothing more than glorifying vFlags with an actual box.
Idea # 1: fix the dom........it's broken Idea # 2: bring back instaflags Idea # 3: appoint more mods to police the instaflags since the main reason they were eliminated is due to them being abused. I'm not around enough to do the work of 10 mods. GPokr has like 15 mods when 1 would probably suffice. APPOINT MORE KDICE MODS. Making people wait in a line to be seated at a "random" table would waste time and hamper website traffic (most people are impatient). Eliminating the chat would take away the only fun part of the game...........manipulation. Making the colors and positions random would take away the ability to manipulate/form truces/PGE, etc., which would ruin the game. |

at 6:40 PM, Tuesday September 8, 2009 EDT kdice needs more mods, im sure everytime ryan gets on kdice just to make sure that its still up and running he gets tired of about 10 people entering a room and asking him to moderate his site, and im sure thraxmod is tired of being the only kdice moderator, so maybe there should be more? i mean, there are many people who would be more than happy to help moderate the site
MODEGRAL MODTECARLO MODHAT_SAM MODFURY honestly, pretty much anyone who has been around for more than a year, can make coherent thoughts and isnt a psycho would make a good mod |

at 7:43 PM, Tuesday September 8, 2009 EDT Well, let's face some facts:
In the old days, with and without elo, we had the cabal, and the anti cabal, the top5-10 has been decided by two more or less official teams fighting each other. No stupid alts, fairplay, and everyone knew the enemy. If we saw sam and fury sitting at one table, we knew who to fuck, or at least try to. If we saw alot of cabal members, we all knew it gonna be a FUCKING FUNNY EGOFEST. Everything else was just a fair game, and even those pseudo pga games have been fun. Today we got so many stupid pga teams, with lots of alts, not for fun, just to push someone for "whatever". There are 3-5 way pgas, which is way over the line, and not even counterable. Personally my only way for gold was learning alot about enemy teams (after they fucked me quite alot for a week), avoiding them, and get some people to pge the enemy - like "getting people together who dont want xyz to reach gold, so im the better case". Mostly it was like "try to truce everyone you know, pge the unknown" - it worked, more or less. Maybe the hardcore pga way would have been easier. Maybe i just got lucky, maybe it was just karma after getting myself ass kicked by plenty of pgas. And there we go: if everyone starts to play with stupid alts to push someone, who can you trust in a truce, his movement, who can you pge if you got fucked quite alot? Well, you gonna find out if you play alot, but for common play? No way! The main thing is definetly the reputation. Theres none left. We seriously need more mods, who are able to see common moves, and obvious pga ones. Able to RC hardcore pgas, or (temp) ban alts / shared accs, who push a specific person on purpose. Yes, we could blame Thrax for being lazy, but come on people... one mod, for playing 24/7 big brother? Thats just not possible. Anyone ever thought of the changing wind? Maybe things are just different today? But i know ONE point... Ryan needs to come back and show some official appereance, or we guys need to adapt and start countering! |
