Color statistics finally in

I have finally finished off the long anticipated color win percentage tabulation. Calculated from the last 100 games I was in, tracking where each players color finished, and awarding placement weightings accordingly (7 points for 1st... 1 point for 7th), here are the results:

Purple: 547 points
Red: 411 points
Teal (or whatever): 406 points
Green: 397 points
Brown: 389 points
Blue: 353 point
Yellow: 297 points

So from the sample set, purple clearly wins more often and yellow loses more often. 100 samples is lots enough to say we have an issue in the dice distribution algorithm.

I recorded by column title so should still be ok. I certainly intended to follow the color order, but it looks like I got 2 backwards on the initial recording.

Found another mistake. Two 3s in one entry near bottom.

Notruce:

There is a significant variation from uniform distribution. My apologies.

(There is another extra 3. The two entries with extra 3's are close to each other)

I decided to leave the extra 3's as they were.

Here is the cumulative distribution from last to first, with totals:

16 12 13 10 17 17 15 Red
10 15 20 16 12 16 11 Green
2 1 5 15 22 27 28 Purple
29 20 13 18 7 9 4 Yellow
8 16 22 11 17 11 15 Blue
17 14 13 15 15 12 14 Brown
17 22 16 15 9 8 13 Teal
99 100 102 100 99 100 100 Total

Here are the chi-squares for each color and the total:

003.04000304 Red
005.14000514 Green
057.64005764 Purple
031.60003160 Yellow
009.20000920 Blue
001.08000108 Brown
009.76000976 Teal
117.46011750 Total df=36

The upper critical value for 36 degrees of freedom is 67.98 for p = .001, so the results are highly significant.

The critical value for any color is 10.645 for p = 0.10, so, as you say, purple wins more and yellow less.

Bottom line is this conversation has gone on too long. Just pick your color and play nice.

its hard to believe that the colors are treated differently by the rolling or stacking algorithms. One could prove that by tracking each colors luck percentage in addition to the presented data.

Shad says he is sitting only yellow this month. So we can check his luck stats. If they are normal, poor win percentages would have to be attributed to the restack algorithm.

or its a psychological effect ;)
