Despite popular opinion and evidence to the contrary I don't have a problem with shad. I have a problem with the people that let themselves be used by shad and rail against other players that might do the same for someone else, but it is okay if you do it for shad.

Everytime I watch a 2k game I am glad I don't bother anymore. The play is shameful. I mean good on shad for using the retardation and complete idiocy of other players to rake points like crazy. Caveat, shad is a pathetic bitch for how, why and how much he plays. The real hilarity is the even deeper depths players go to fellate shad out of some sense of duty. Other players do what shad does, shad just does it more so I don't hate or even dislike shad, it is the culture that is the problem.

Anyone that thinks shad or any of the consistent top are legit anymore are morons of the retardest degree so good job being fucking idiots, go die in a fiero.

End of one rant, beginning of a new one:
What kdice needs is a refresh, the game has become stale. People do not think the game has changed much because the change is so gradual, and they have changed with the game to a certain extent. But the game play is shittier now and has been on a downward slide for a while. What would make the game better and put a positive shift to the culture and the politics in my opinion is a few small tweaks. First unthefucknerfdomfortheloveofallthatisholyyoustubornignorantfuckryan, ie un-nerf dom. Dom has been fucked for a while and only rewards the person in first, this makes position important when not in first. Instead dom should reward action so that you can consistently get ok dom if you are fighting and trying to grow. The complete shit that dom is right now really makes the game stale, again if you don't agree with this point you are fucking dumb go die in a fiero. Second what needs to be done is a change to the flag system, I would like to see flag and surrender but Ryan doesn't like this so whatever. I think a better idea long term might be elo style flags. For those that are ignorant, this flag system has no position, you flag when you want the game to end. When all remaining players outside of first are flagged the game ends and players get the position that you were in when the last person flags. This means leaving someone in a corner is a bad idea, as they have the potential to ninja or cause other problems later. This also means you have to fight to hold you position so people are fighting more. Okay finished my beer time for another.
tl;dr
PS Get fucked and die in a fiero.

I like the idea of getting a bonus for every attack you try, even if it is without success, maybe depending of the success-probability. Sitting in a corner permanently suiciding you 2stack in that 8 stack of your buddy should not be rewarded. That way losing 5v3 on offense at least gets some reward besides losing the game :-)
Successful attacks are rewarded by dice. So a modification to the current Dom-System with an activity-bonus could really be an idea. Maybe negative values for turns without attack - sitting and waiting sucks then...

yeah... back to the topic.

My thoughts on Shad:

Just like sam, I also have no idea what actually drives shad and why he never gets tired of this game... or why he doesn't at least take a break from it for a while.
Let's not discuss the job thing again, where he virtually hasn't to work at all (because similarly to kdice it's not shad who is responsible for that, but his more than dumb boss who fails to convert a full time job into a part time one).
I also don't get why he doesn't spend more of his enormous amount of free time with his kids... it's beyond me so I stfu.

At kdice I must say that I liked shad a lot when he started playing. That was in 2008. I was very supportive of him, meaning that I wanted him to win in October08 and later in December08, because it was obvious that he was a new player who hadn't been involved in any scheming yet.
I actually also enjoyed playing with him back then, since you could always have a good chat with him. There were so many rude/vulgar guys around that time, so it was nice to talk to people like him from time to time. Considering playing style, it was also very useful. Because if you played with him many games in a row and a talked a lot while playing, you could be certain that you got a good neighbour and that there was (somehow) a mutual benefit.

The only problem was that he played so many games and developed "friendships" with so many different people that it was hard to keep up with that. A huge network of shad semiPGAs was evolving. I am 100% sure that shad did NOT use IMs or something, but it was obvious before a game started with who he was "cool" and with who not. One of the most famous examples was certainly "bsn", who probably played hundreds of games with him without being RC. Later it was greekboi and dozens of noobs willing to jump on the "shad train".
It worked well for them, because they always had someone who they could cooperate with. Given the fact that they played enough games with him in a fairly short time (10-15 games per day).
Apparently it also worked well for shad, since he got many supporters that way and eventually won December.

So far so good.

However, Sometime in January, I noticed a change. There had been so many people cooperating with shad; some even completely subordinated themselves to him so that he got more and more ambitious. It became obvious that he actively expected people giving favours to him. Also, he became very bitchy when people attacked him instead of making dumb moves. When you connected around him, everything was okay. When you connected through him he got all angry and threw fits. Really nasty.
Now his "cooperations" looked like this: Out of 10 played games, he would get three 1sts, probably four 2nds/3rd and three of the remaining positions. Occasionally, he would throw a win or a 2nd to his supporters so that they would be satisfied for a while. But altogether, the major amount of winnings would go to shad's account.

Now his strategy looks a lot like this:
1) Making his supporters very aware (in chat) of the favours he gives to them and demand twice as many favours back in return.
2) Trying to make them feel extremely bad when they've done something harmful to him, with sentences like: "wow, you attacked me, now i wont be nice to you anymore" or "REALLY? that move was dumb, from now on I wont accept your flags anymore" or "I wont trust you again".
No idea why shad still manages to get so many tools, but congraz for your achievements. It's their mistake, not yours.

Well, that's my interpretation. I can't do anything against you shad. I could add even more things, but this post is already far too long.

Long story short: I'm convinced that shad will get top 3 this month... His Networks are too effective, his followers are too loyal and he plays way too many games to finish any lower.

If he continues like that, he will even snatch 1st from you, fiero. So hf during the las days.

And maybe changing the tie rule so that ties on rolls are won by the attacker.
