at 10:57 AM, Wednesday July 8, 2009 EDT I thought it was the codeword for a tribal sign hidden in the topranked players avatars so they can know each other even when using Alts and can continue to PGA....
I still think this is a nice idea and probably the truce, you just try to cover it up, now that you have been exposed. :-)))))))) |

at 5:38 PM, Wednesday July 8, 2009 EDT there is some skill in it, like identifying the risks with high payoff, reading the board to get out of harms way as much as possible early on - anticipating other guys connection attempts etc.
but to get into the top 100 the skill you need most is asskissing skills. the dudes with the shitloads of medals know each other from playing the same few high tables over and over and will silently get rid of the noobs first. |

at 2:35 AM, Thursday July 9, 2009 EDT Wish - you should never forget to counter the German pga at any table. You know, the moment there is one of them Germans he is most likely pga. So you should counter.... I keep calling counter many times I see a German the table - and I usually do when I sit :-))
Other than that - Skrum, the man with no life but too much statistics, could make a posting-frequency-statistic and publish it some place. The more often people post, the more old trusted friends they have (not really pga, but close). Frequent posters should thus be pgeed.... |

at 10:00 AM, Thursday July 9, 2009 EDT unike if you really believe 2k are full of pga you probably fail to read the game well enough, all the small friendlinesses which affect the relations across the board. You probably fail to recognise them even if someone does a favour to you.
karlkraus you are totally right, noobs have a hard time until they prove they are not that noobish. noobs are dangerous, they play differently, you cannot predict what they will do to you if you smile at them. true skill is to limit randomness by selling your moves. think whether you are going to get more by your move then someone else will lose, if don“t sell that move to him for something nice. i am always amazed how good some people are in reading the board and setting the proper price. |
