is it within the rules for 2 of 3 players to ally against one when the tourney is down to the final 3?

at 12:48 PM, Tuesday June 9, 2009 EDT i would not feel that it was unfair in that situation. Everyone is in the tourney to try to win it, not to gracefully bow out in 3rd place. I've seen people come back from having less than 10 points and end up wining the tourney, and for the other two players, the only way they would have a shot and winning was to team up against the big guy.
plus, its not that hard to take on a 2v1, you didnt deserve to win the tourney if you cant beat a 2v1. and gdott, would you have done any differently if you were in MZ or gengar's shoes? long story short: you cant ban people for using tourney strat |

What should be the cut off for when people can start to PGA for the rest of the tourney? Two tables left? Six players left? Three players left? You can't allow PGA for a limited period of time in any circumstance. Of course it's a good strategy, cheating always is. |

at 1:16 PM, Tuesday June 9, 2009 EDT it happened to me and i felt it unfair, like every 2 vs 1 but thought it's acceptable. i have considered it as a truce.
talking about game-to-game favors, whats about a situation when at the last or almost last table all table truce against 1 person who has either least or most points? (least - to eliminate this person from tourney and get paid, most - to have more chances to win with him next round). then we are talking not about 2 vs 1, but even 4 vs 1. |

at 1:25 PM, Tuesday June 9, 2009 EDT Sounds like gray area. Perhaps some discussion amongst the community needs to occur on this subject. Unfortunately it will result with an overwhelming response that PGA should be allowed as a tourney strat so the incumbent cheaters can continue their usual ways.
A single game determination to take out the highest player, or eliminate a player, seems to be a solid strategy. But what happens when the 1st place player gets knocked down to 2nd, does the truce continue? That is where fairness gets thrown out the door. The fact that MZ and Gengar continued the truce for multiple games resulting in one player being taken from 1st to 3rd is why I think it is PGA. I'm not sure there is a solution to this problem and I know there will be people that disagree with me. Does anyone have any viable thoughts on this situation? |

at 1:32 PM, Tuesday June 9, 2009 EDT and in tourneys it usually happens that last 3 person table repeat few times before sb is out definitely. if 2 of them truce in one game, they'll propably offer a truce to this same person next game.
I don't see how they could change their truces every game in the same person table game after game? Does anybody think the idea is a little unreal? |

at 1:36 PM, Tuesday June 9, 2009 EDT Fcuku, I understand that you are a high caliber player with lots of high caliber friends. Its easy for you to say its not cheating because you and other high caliber players are often the few left at the end of tourneys which makes it easy for you to agree for positions. It still is pga, you are starting the next round with an ally before the board is even drawn. I was pushed from 1st to 3rd, maybe further if more players were left. If you agree to ally before the next map has started IT IS without question PGA.

Mkay. See look at this we discussed it in chat if we didnt u could proof nothing. Maybe a mutual understanding that gdott has 2 many points yes but nothing more, like a silent truce it would be. Also for the record IF ANYBODY wants to know why leek step is pissed off and blabla about this. This is the fact. He got 5th and didnt get points and 4th got +2000. thats why he's so blabllala QQ'ing |
