u have to change the game again ry...its crap!

i love this game but the new style of the play sucks...big time!

new players are shit and the whole vflag bollox is beyond a joke.

i just played a game where a guy won the from the middle with bout7 lands cos chickenshit noobs were scared to attack.

ive said this so many time but shit has to change cos games are becoming less and less fun

uhhhhm

i dunno if im wrong here but is the point of 'war' to fight and not delegate positions...

kdice is a social game yes but more importantly, it is a WAR game. lately begging is of more value than a 7v6 ftw...

no1 takes risks, no1 silent truces based off gameplay anymore...a lot of the strategy has gone from this game and been replaced by pussy players afraid to roll for the killer move.

btw flag = instadeath was by far the best version by a mile. removing chatbox til a certain round is the next step i believe to take this game back to being arguably the most addictive game on the net.

what about giving extra points to someone who kills another player - now sometimes survive people with 2 or 3 territories and get 3rd or 4th just because they are 'cool'.

Ryan, I'd like to know when and why pga is now a legal option. There has never been any justification for the fact that cheaters are regularly and definitively outed (with them admitting it, no less), and yet no punishment is meted out.

It might still be technically against the rules, but since there's no punishment, it might as well be a sanctioned tactic. On the rare occasion over the past year or 2 when you have banned people for pga, they always quickly get reinstated. So, they get a guaranteed top ten finish and a strong chance at top 3, at a worst risk (of 0.01%) of having to play an alt account for a month.

If pga's are truly against the rules, they should be punished. If not, just go ahead and sanction team play.

Personally, I would start tracking chat logs and game results, and when its obvious that people are colluding across many games, ban their accounts forever. The loss of the many png trophies and experienced accounts for the top players forever as a result of cheating would greatly curb the pga-ing.

I'm still not sure why there's so much compassion for the popular players- if they're screwing up the game, boot them, there's plenty of people here who play honestly. No one will miss the popular players who bully and collude constantly, leaving the less persuasive and talkative players little chance at winning on tables over 500.

Also, charge for people to make new accounts ($1-5). The cost will reduce the number of bullshit accounts and cheating.

Generally, I would just like to see some enforcement of the rules, or some maintenance of the community. Enforce the rules strictly and consistently. Don't be scared of your players- its your game, after all. Don't let others ruin your product.

I know this won't happen, so I'll just stick to the low tables to avoid the drama.

Thanks for the great game, hope you decide to step up and clean up the streets.

1. Remove the monthly reset. This discourages many casual players because if they only play 30 games or so a month, there is very little incentive to actually improve and gain ranks. I know I'll get bashed for this, but maybe ELO again? (Chess, go, and numerous other games use this ranking. It's a stalwart for a reason) The months that ELO was used, there was a lot more exciting months seeing as the month was a lot closer in score. Now the month appears to be decided pretty much weeks in advance. It would make things interesting.

2. Make teams. People have been asking for this for years now. This would add a new and exciting element to the game. I think this would eliminate a significant portion of PGAs and would spin a portion of kdice off in a whole new direction.

3. Enforce the rules in a consistent manner. Riser was reset, rnd was DELETED. Those were pretty big events, and changed the landscape of the game.

4. Fix the bugs. There are a lot of bugs that haven't been fixed, and are complained about them. My complaint is that you can't log on from the forums anymore, you have to go back to the main page and log in that way. I'm sure people can add a lot more.

5. Change the point payout. Make first and second more. Have a point loss for 4th unless the dom is really good.

Ryan, I think that those are changes that you should at least think about.

I think that now that the iPhone app is out (well done), you should really think about the Team Game option. I think it would be a very logical next step to get rid of a lot of the issues happening now.

Doing something like removing the flags or having them = instant death won't help anything... it will just make vFlagging MUCH worse. If there was a way to get rid of vFlagging, that would solve a lot of problems... but the only way to do that is to get rid of chat, which would make the game totally suck.

u come here to make friends mai?

i came to play a war game, cant do that with the way things are right now. i never said get rid of it altogher, block it til round 8 or whatever...allow gameplay to pan out, then let politics start...

I really like the idea about no flag or chat until round 8... That is actually quite superb. I realize there is supposed to be a human element, but that is what is currently ruining the game (collusion, pga, etc.) It is really too bad b/c socializing can be the best aspect, but is abused much too often.

Also, the random number generator is shit. I wonder if skrum has done any analysis on it, but the defense is at a clear advantage. I know there is something to describe this, something or someone's "folly," but I play poker and backgammon online as well, and believe I have a pretty good sense of supposed "randomness" and there is something fishy with the Kdice system.

I too support the return of an elo-like system, or something related. The monthly resests give too much of an advantage to those who play an obscene number of games, making the top 10 only avialible to those who play 200+ games a month
