New ideas for kdice, or how to make this game less gAy

I was thinking how to make kdice more interesting and challenging game, many blame players for their early verbal flags, for their fear to fight... Anyway you may blame one, but maybe it is better to change something in kdice scoring system so people would really PLAY and try to fight bigger one...
I have played many games and make an analysys of kdice scoring system and here is my proposals:

FOR THE SCORING SYSTEM:
i give two examples for 0 and 500 tables, other tables should be proportional to these numbers
0 table: 1st +100, 2nd +45, 3rd +14, 4th -17, 5th-7th -48
500 table: 1st +400, 2nd +181, 3rd +57, 4th -67, 5th-7th -191

the biggest change would be that there is no difference in points lost (except for dom) for players in 5th-7th... Is it really your fault you get a bad start and end 6-7? Or is it really the only way to play for you then just to stay with one-two lands just to hope someone other dies first in this situation? It will bring big difference to playing style and those players will not be afraid finishing 6th or 7th anyway.
Second is bigger diference between 1st and 2nd so the fight for 1st will be more exiting now.
I analysed the games and i am SURE this is the most OPTIMAL points for kdice in order this game to be really played.
One more thing about point system that there will be no more point inflation so the sum of the points is not bigger than 0, it is even -2, so you do not have to play lots of game to remain in top. Kdice must be enjoyable not addictive time waste. You may have a chance to remain in top with few games.
And it also will make it harder for newbies to reach 500, only best of them should play 500's

My other ideas: for domination, I do not know exactly how it works, but it seems very ok for me. Maybe only if you could slightly increase it.

For flags: Early flags must be back, it is bullshit to flag only after round 8, it creates even worse thing now - verbal flags, with new points system less people would try to flag. And one important thing about flags, you may flag from 2nd round but only connecting lands count for position so you can not flag for a good position having lands many unconnected bases.

P.S. The biggest thing I am afraid to hear is silence from you, if you really care about kdice please disscuss it. I see many stupid posts getting tens of comments, but when I start a serious discusion it seems that no one cares. Don't you want this game to become better? So we really enjoy kdice?

I just looked again at the numbers and want to round up them a little

0 table: 1st +100, 2nd +45, 3rd +10, 4th -20, 5th-7th -45
500 table: 1st +400, 2nd +180, 3rd +40, 4th -80, 5th-7th -180

now it is perfect :)

Can I ask what in your opinion is the advantage of dom?

if you ask domination in general, domination is very necessary as other wise everyone would play only for place without expanding. If you ask why I want domination points slightly bigger, it is not really issue for me it seems good like this too... I think domination system is one of a few things ryan made work perfect in kdice as it is now

Interesting idea about only the largest connection of territories counting towards your place. Don't know how easy that would be to code, but the idea is interesting.

A day in Kdice.
1. We play where is Ryan. This is kinda like where is Waldo, but there is no way to win because Ryan hides in his masturbation hole.

2. Win some internet pointz (woot we be epic)
3. People compain that Kdice sucks, but never seem to realize that nothing will change or they just feel like blowing smole. (Normally after a couple of 5k losses).

4. Fuck over some noobs to make themselves feel better about their ideas not being listened to.

5. Les,Ph,ect. Bump this thread in 6 months for their own lawl's

Ryan has to be convinced that those changes are good. However that seems to be a huge challenge. If seen people arguing reasonably in endless discussions trying to tell Ryan that these changes would improve kdice, but in the end nothing or only little happens.

Maybe Ryan doesnt care as much about kdice as we do?

these are not big changes to do, if ryan could encode it, that would be great

Under the present system, waiting for someone else to get killed is going to increase the incentive for that someone else to fight better, or use better diplomacy, rather than getting killed. So the present system encourages getting-someone-who-can-kill-you-to-not-kill-you skills. If we were to change the system, the ignoring-someone-else's-attempts-to-not-get-killed skills will be encouraged. So I guess it boils down to what kinds of skills we want to have.
