How do top players get so many points?

Ever wandered how top players make so many points? Some will say skill. Unfortunately, kdice is more about luck than skill. Well, they must play a lot of games. Look at top 10. They don't play that many games. Well, maybe they got lucky. But then how would you explain that the same people are in the top 10 month after month after month. The answer actually is very simple, they truce. They play together, they truce, and they almost always get first places. But wait, where is the evidence? I played on a table with shadolin and MidWilly, both players with a lot of trophies. First shadolin didn't respect my flag. Then, when I got lucky and was close to killing him MadWilly stepped in although he was flagged to help him. Another top 10 player just stayed watching how thing as they killed me. They didn't even hide the fact they were truce. I watched their next game, exactly the same way they stole points from other players. So it's not about skill, or luck, it's about trucing with your friends. Shame on you MadWilly, shame on you shadolin. How low of a human being do you have to be to cheat to get virtual trophies mad of pixels? I am not saying all top players are like that, but a lot are.

at 3:56 AM, Tuesday March 3, 2009 EST shad truces a lot, yes, but not with the same people every game :) he is not a cheater, not even close,he plays a LOT,and the other top players too...top players have the guts to play only 2k and 5k games while the others waste their times on 100-500 tables...And believe me there is always drama for top players on high tables too,not just for you

at 5:02 AM, Tuesday March 3, 2009 EST yea, this is you in feb; 32,526◆ 681 games 44 PPG .
while a top player can have as much as 350 PPG on a regular basis (like Sam). so 350PPg*300 games = 105000 points. 350 PPG is possible to acheave at 2K tables. so play higher tables and play better. |

at 6:34 AM, Tuesday March 3, 2009 EST Imanema, you just understood how this game works on top tables...
They truce a lot, not with the same players, agreed, but they make hidden truce with many other top players they know..That's their way to keep the top between a minority of players, truce together to finally avoid that "unknown" go to the top... And shame on top players who still they are at the top coz they are better..That would be the biggest BS i would have read since i play Kdice ^^ |

at 9:10 AM, Tuesday March 3, 2009 EST Top players are and stay where they are because: A) they play a rationally flawless game, B) they can communicate well (i.e. speak english proficiently), C) play higher tables (!!), D) do not let emotions like anger affect their strategy and E) respect other players.
To propose that every top player got there by cheating via pregame arrangements is ridiculous. |

at 9:17 AM, Tuesday March 3, 2009 EST I watched some 2000 games and I agree, the truces they make are ridiculous (for example a strong player truces with a very weak one when they could just destroy them to get even stronger).

at 10:53 AM, Tuesday March 3, 2009 EST Grue, having a weak partner is better than having no partner at all, especially if others on the table are trucing.
And for imanema, you using shadolin as an example is perfect. You're talking about a guy that wasn't even around a year ago, so he can't possibly be one of the "old time elites" that has all these friends that help him win every game. I'm so tired of people complaining about "cheating" and "PGA" and "favors". The best players are the best players because they risk the most points (playing 2k and 5k tables), and they do the most communicating in-game (truces, countering, etc.) They are also the same players that play the higher payout tournies like the Sunday Slam, Thursday 2000, Members Afternoon, etc. High risk equals high reward. Stop bitching and move on... |
