Note that in the above three dendrograms, the value of "h", the height of a branch, appears to be a function of the magnitude of the variables, not normalized. I did another run of the last dendrogram with the number of games "normalized" to make them similar in magnitude to the decimals of the other seven variables (by dividing number of games by 500) and I got a different result. So I have to figure out how to tell the software to normalize the variables, or I have to do it myself, or I have to assign relative importance to each variable. Of course the latter introduces a subjective element into the analysis.

I will use the second of the three diagrams since it is probably the most realistic.

That there is only one hash mark for you indicates that the software had difficulty finding close relatives for you, so you are one of those difficult-to classify species. Your nearest taxonomic relatives (>username<, Kevin143, and ceban) are similar to you in having somewhat lumpy profiles with a preponderance of third place finishes. Also, the four of you have not played as many games as some. Perhaps when you play more games you will evolve into something else.

I also don't know why I have so many 3rd place finishes this month. One reason might be the tournament mentality to flag earlier than usual or the lack of confidence in my own luck (which is crucial if you want to go for 2nd/1st).
