Changing the game mechanics

Seeing as I am new to the community and this site seems to have been around for a long time, I'm sure this was discussed in the past, but there are a few things about how the games are set up that drive me crazy.
Mainly the fact that there is definitely collusion going on. Some people argue that this is good for the game and adds game play, but what if you just want to enjoy the game and can't because in a lot of cases, games are fixed? This really drives me crazy, and I wonder why you don't set up the game so that this kind of thing doesn't happen. There are several things that could easily minimize, if not eliminate, any kind of teamplay. For me personally, I wish this game had a few things: -randomized joining of tables -randomized view of opponent colors -elimination of player names/rank -elimination of the chat feature 1. Random queue for tables. If people can't pick and choose what table they're going to join, it will make fixing games a lot harder. 2. Anonymity The fact that people know who they're playing creates an unfair advantage for those that play this game a lot. In some of the guides people have made, it is a common rule that you should get to know people in the community, talk a lot, etc. Why should this have an impact on the game? Shouldn't the game be based on skill, not how well or not you are liked? As a new player, I have to play and get to know everyone in order to be "good" at the game? I mean some people might like this aspect of the gameplay, but I'm sure more casual/new players would be turned off by the fact that people do and will take it easier on people they know, especially at the end of matches. I've been playing this game a week and the number of matches that I've lost because I'm new and left with 2-3 10-20k players decide I don't need the win really aggravates me. I think anonymity would make the game much more fair. 3. Elimination of player names/rank and elimination of the chat feature Yeah it's nice to get to know people and everything, and it probably wouldn't be such a big difference if joining tables was randomized, but if people know who they're playing with, the same crap is going to happen. If people don't know who they're playing with, they just play their game and there is no slanted game play going on, everyone's on the same playing field. The chat feature as it stands is just a team making tool. The chat could easily be set up in a chat room type style, not connected with the game so that the elite players/players with friends can talk to one another. Now I don't expect that any of this will happen, I'm just saying that I'm one person that wished the game was set up so that you don't have to play this game for a year to have a fair game. I'm sure that most of the games aren't fixed from the beginning, but I'm sure I've been part of some that have. |
