I mean, think about this: the "yes" argument says we're wasting 41% of our state budget, while the "no" vote claims that's around 12 billion a year that would be cut....

This is of course a common groupthink sentiment if not a logical one.

If you push hard for people to vote, who don't otherwise feel compelled to vote, are you increasing or lowering the overall average knowledge of the people who end up voting?

There is one likely result of pushing kdicers to vote, which is Obama gets more votes than McCain. This is because, statistically speaking, young adults with little life experience tend to vote Democrat.
