As a lot of you know, I intentionally pulled myself out of the leaderboard race last month and have been pretty much uninvolved in any of the kdrama this month. As a result, I have very little motivation to try to influence events in the Kworld.

Firstly, I like Vo and I like Nuf. I think that both of them are personable, skilled and fun players.

Secondly, I dislike Fiero. He blatantly pgas, manipulates his stats, uses his mod powers for personal gain and is totally unsuited for the role. I find it tragically amusing that the pot can ban the kettles for being black. The level of hypocrisy he displays is enough to give me migraines.

Thirdly, I do not understand Ryan's motivations in many aspects of this community. He apparently condones cheating, because he elevated one of the worst offenders to mod status. He apparently condones rogue moderating because he allows Fiero to act outside of his stated job description and, as far as the community can tell, metes out no disciplinary action whatsoever. Ryan, you talk a good game about wanting to clean up the community, but your actions, or lack thereof, give the lie to that position. As long as you maintain Fiero as a mod, your perceived credibility will be negatively impacted.

With all due respect to Grun, who I admire and who is just about the perfect model for a mod, I totally disagree with his assessment of the bans. Fiero acted out of personal self-interest, not objective concern for the community, however much he may have tried to sell the former motivation. Fiero is NOT objective when it comes to Vohaul. Note the contributor award that he gave to Vo, not for any substantive contribution, but for merely playing a lot and for a long time. Note the stalking of Nuf over the last several days and compare that to the blind eye with which he regarded Team Vo's activities. The discrepancy is obvious to anyone who has even the least bit of perceptive ability.

The bottom line is that I am simply disgusted with the whole circus act. Fiero and his self-serving, hypocritical behavior makes me want to vomit. Ryan and his schizophrenic combination of apathy and aggressive reverse engineering make me ill. I don't know what the cure is for the systemic disease that has afflicted this community, but it sure isn't the course of treatment that has been prescribed by Fiero and Ryan.
