I didnt know you could buy points like that Is there a limit on how much points you can buy each month?

i had the same question a week ago.

you can by one or more stars in a month, but you only get 2.500 points for the first one.

I donated a long time ago and suddently the membership was created and i became a member automaticly.
I rather just want to start on same level as everyone else as well.
I can undestand the membership thing Ryan has to get some money for servers and hard work.
But would it be posible to make other kind of membership features than points every month?
There is a few people who decided to stop playing kdice cuz of this.
And i agree with them that this membership as it is ruined the game a bit.

What's the big problem if Ryan wants to thank the donators and members of this site by awarding some extra points. There will never be a scoring system that everybody likes.

Doti, if you really only want to contribute without getting points (an opinion I really have a lot of respect for), the solution is already available. Tank your account by 2500 after you donated the $5.

My guess is Ryan gets at least 10 questions like this each day. A big international game company with a 24:7 helpdesk service might be able to look into each individual problem but people, please don't forget this is a game site run by only 1 person!

Or you can donate thru an email address not tied to your Kdice account. There was there a lot of people upset they did not get credited a year ago when they did this. Without an email address to tie it to, you don't get the points.
Everyone should donate to the site, IMO

I don't know if Ryan did it, or other site member who helps him, but I can gladly say that my 2500 extra points were taken off. I can now feel again as a player without unjust advantage.

This does not mean I am judging the current membership system or the members them self, because I understand Ryan needs to earn something. Never the less, For me it was better to make a clean contribution, and I would be glad to hear that for others too. The fun hours we spend here surely worth at least $5.

jurgen, Don't think I haven't thought already about your offer to loose the 2500 points by myself, but now there is no need :-). Any way, thank you all for the comments.
