Lower Table Limits Are Stupid

That's right, I said it. They are stupid. It's late at night, and I'm over 12.5k and I can't play because there aren't enough 2.5kers around. ..
I don't want to make/use an alt, why can't I make points for the account I care about? There's no reason I shouldn't be allowed to play on the 500s so I can still have fun making points.

Now I don't get to play kdice at night, sweet.

Good call Ryguy. I think Rowdy may be on to something with teh table limits for 500 tables after the 15th, very novel idea.

wow just one complain and ryan has to comply.........and yet ryan have been ignoring all the others who put forward ideas, such as removing cheaters from the leaderboard and ban players who PGA........how much have you donated?

I think it's just wrong to put these limits back in again. It will cause me to bring out my alts again because I'd otherwise spend lots of kdice time waiting for a game to start.

This punishes the best players. And then once the alts come out, the problem compounds as the high players aren't playing their primaries.

Ryan, I thought you did away with this before for these very same reasons. Why go back now?

As an alternative, why don't you implement a separate kiddy table, with a max score of say 100, but with reduced rewards compared to the normal 0 table. Then a player can choose to shield themselves from higher players if they can find enough other people that want that option. I think it's more likely that everyone can find a game then.

no limit punishes/hurts the new comers/beginners

The table limits are a good idea, the problem is simply tweaking the implemenation so that the system works better. Personally, I despise players who have 6,7,8...thousand points who are unwilling to play the higher tables and like to rape the lower lever players. Have some guts and play at the maximum level your points allow. The more players there are at the 2.5s and 10s, the less you have to worry about pga/friends/whatever.

BTW, the last sentence especially applies to Freak, who needs to actually play instead of bitching incessantly about a subject about which he knows absolutely nothing. "Those who can, play; those who cannot, whine."

Yeah, that works. First intelligent thing you have said in months, Freak.

Another thing, when you're limited to just 2 table levels (really 1 if the higher one never has any games), it gets kind of boring to only be able to play the same 2 or 3 tables, usually having only 1 to choose from at any given time. Some tables suck.

Wow, Kdicefreak, if you aren't "loveskdice" or whatever the crap that guys name is, I will be eternally surprised.

I presented the reasons against the table limit on the 500 to a Moderator last night, in addition to posting this in the forum for Ryan to see too. I think Ryan for sure handled it well as he probably heard some arguments from others (not just me) about the 500 table limits and made the decision to change it.

Why do you have to hijack every thread with your unending-narcissistic drivel?

Thanks Ryan, again, for letting me (and every other higher player) to play late at night. I don't feel that table limits are a bad idea if there's someway to monitor how many games you play on each table...like if the majority of the games you play once you are > 12.5k are on the 2.5ks or whatever. It just doesn't make sense that I should be kept from being able to play on the 500s and Ryan made a simple correction to account for such. Bravo.
