at 4:35 AM, Thursday May 29, 2008 EDT the maxima are a great idea to get more people to play the tables they are supposed to play with their points total.
However I think a rigid 100% maximum would maybe limit play if not enough players are around. I am more in favor of a gradual limitation of the access to 500/2500 tables...something like this maybe 0 Tables = 500 max 100 Tables = 2500 max 500 Tables + a maximum of 75% of your games at 500 for players above 5,000 points + a maximum of 50% of your games at 500 for players above 7,500 points + a maximum of 25% of your games at 500 for players above 10,000 points 2500 Tables + a maximum of 75% of your games at 2500 for players above 15,000 points + a maximum of 50% of your games at 2500 for players above 20,000 points + a maximum of 25% of your games at 2500 for players above 25,000 points |

at 4:50 AM, Thursday May 29, 2008 EDT ummmm, to clarify my proposition (lol, I bet I will probably only confuse more people with my bad English):
The percentages should only take into account the games played when you are above 1 or more of the different point limits. So it is independent of the number of games you needed to get to 5,000. Example: When you get to 8k but you again drop below 7,5k, only your 5k+ tracker keeps ticking again, the 7,5k tracker obviously stops until you get back to more than 7,500 points. |
