Hi KDicers,
I would like to share my thoughts about what happened in this month's kdice competition. First of all, I'd like to thank all those who have supported me. Some feel, as I do, that I deserved this month's Gold dice. Others feel I didn't. I'm not sure exactly why. Maybe they hate the fact that I spent so much time playing. I think they should hate the system for that, not the player. Some think that I have shared my account in order to achieve such a high number of games played. I don't really give a shit. I didn't. And then others think that it is unfair that I play kdice with my friend. If playing online games with friends is illegal, then please hang me. The fact is, I have gained all my points by playing the game. I did not gain points by getting other people to play the game for me, nor did I spend a single cent to win this month's competition. There was a flaw in the system and some players took advantage of it. Good for them, I guess... But they did not make more points than me by playing the actual game. If I wanted to know who can donate the most money in a month, there would be no point in playing Kdice. This is a kdice competition, and my points were fairly earned by playing kdice. Point closed. PS: My mother thong is French and I've had help from someone in order to make this post. Is that also illegal? |

Well done, mate. ..and the person who helped you over the post? Well, they deserve a medal. It was brilliant, and to add the mother thong touch was just bleedin hilarious. Up the Arsenal. Rifty |

at 12:08 PM, Saturday May 3, 2008 EDT the loophole that dg/wish used: buying points.
the loophole that bomb used: avoiding other 'top' players. i mean, srsly, what percentage of games did wish/dg play against the rest of the top 100? i would guesstimate 90%. what percentage did bomb play against the rest of the top 100? i would guesstimate 10%. its not right that someone buy the trophy. its not right that someone be awarded the trophy by constantly avoiding the competition that they are being measured against. this is why these methods are called 'loopholes'. and these loopholes need to be closed asap. i mean (this is just a guess), it doesnt matter if bomb plays 1600 games if they are mostly at the 2.5k and 10k level. im pretty sure he wont rack up points when playing against that community of competition. to close loop 1: no more buying points. to close loop 2: some kind of system that forces you to play with others at your points-level if possible, but still allows you to sit at unrated tables with friends. |

at 1:40 PM, Saturday May 3, 2008 EDT why not just have different measures.
have a top player at the mostly 500 or lower tables, and a top player at the 2.5k or above table. it just seems easier to make more categories, so EVERYONE CAN WIN GOLD GIFS!!!! |

Play on! |

at 5:29 PM, Saturday May 3, 2008 EDT There is another loophole in Motecarlo's proposal.
Most people that play in 2500 and 10000K know each other. When was the last time that they played in a table where they did not know most of the players? It is true that Bomb\ avoided the guys in top tables, but the guys in top tables also avoid the little tables. Playing for little points and against unknown people is not the same. No matter how good you are at this game. Your numbers won't look that impressive. Even after skrum's corrections. I think that Montecarlo's proposal as well as Integral's should be implemented by Ryan. But I also think that 10K tables should be taken out of the game. In the worst case they should be replaced by 5K tables. |
