I feel like I've won!

Hi KDicers,

I would like to share my thoughts about what happened in this month's kdice competition.

First of all, I'd like to thank all those who have supported me. Some feel, as I do, that I deserved this month's Gold dice.

Others feel I didn't. I'm not sure exactly why. Maybe they hate the fact that I spent so much time playing. I think they should hate the system for that, not the player.

Some think that I have shared my account in order to achieve such a high number of games played. I don't really give a shit. I didn't.

And then others think that it is unfair that I play kdice with my friend. If playing online games with friends is illegal, then please hang me.

The fact is, I have gained all my points by playing the game. I did not gain points by getting other people to play the game for me, nor did I spend a single cent to win this month's competition.

There was a flaw in the system and some players took advantage of it. Good for them, I guess... But they did not make more points than me by playing the actual game. If I wanted to know who can donate the most money in a month, there would be no point in playing Kdice. This is a kdice competition, and my points were fairly earned by playing kdice. Point closed.

PS: My mother thong is French and I've had help from someone in order to make this post. Is that also illegal?

As far as i can tell, being an outsider of all this drama, is that you are the rightful winner of the month.

PS. I can't just let that mother thong comment slide....I mean come on

anyone can win the monthly competition if they play enough games but people have lives that's y they don't play nearly as many games as you. And also noone likes a bragger so please don't post a message saying how great u r. Noone cares!

I was really confused (and a bit turned on) when you were talking about your mother's thong... but then I realized you meant your mother tongue which wasn't nearly as sexy.

First of all, Bomb if you're happy that's all that matters =D

Second, you say "Others feel I didn't. I'm not sure exactly why. Maybe they hate the fact that I spent so much time playing. I think they should hate the system for that, not the player."

But then you say: "If I wanted to know who can donate the most money in a month, there would be no point in playing Kdice."

I could see players like wishbone or XxDiceyGirlxX saying a similar thing, but replacing the time you spent with the money they spent.

People differ on if the ranking should measure skill or time played. You definitely won the time played challenge, but players like wishbone or XxDiceyGirlxX might feel that they could beat you more than 50% of the time in a game.

My point is only this: If you feel you earned first then you should feel great about this month, and not let anyone get you down over it. But wishbone is entitled to feel the same way.

I think in the end you did something far more impressive than accruing all those points. You played over 1500 games! Maybe Ryan can create a new Bombardier award for most games in a month =D

good month =)

P.S. I don't think you did anything illegal, I also don't think wishbone or DG did

Bomb is right. Here are two reasons.

One, you have to play a lot of games to win. There is a certain critical mass that must be reached in order to succeed. To equivocate playing a large amount of games with buying points is disingenuous. i.e., you have to play many games to win, you don't have to buy any points to win.

Two, here is the plain and simple reason why Bomb is right and the DG, Holy Roller, Wish crowd is wrong. Almost everyone agrees that this site would really suck if you could consistently buy points at the end of the month to put yourself into first place. Everyone seems to have regarded this as some type of loophole. No one is saying that playing a lot of games is a loophole. Very few people are calling for a cap on max games. However, even Ryan, in his post, stated that it was never his intention that people buy points at the very end of the month.

This whole, there was a flaw in the system thing is bs. What DG and Wish did was sleazy. Quit trying to defend it as if it was a sharp strategic decision. If I competed in the Olympics and found a way to bribe judges that was technically legal, should I feel proud of the gold medal I won?

the point is many ppl argue that bomb played too many
no one said that DG or wish or others buy points are not correct
u can sacrifice yr time to play, but if u cannot, don't blame anyone who played more than u

Spot on HR... I second that.

"If I competed in the Olympics and found a way to bribe judges that was technically legal, should I feel proud of the gold medal I won?"

~A) This wasn't bribery, it was a known way to add points to your total
B) No such device exists in the Olympics
C) In the NBA and MLB there IS the ability by owners to pay outrageous sums of money (more than other teams) to have more players of a higher quality for you giving you a significant advantage against the other teams (see: New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, LA Lakers) While this isn't a perfect analogy, it's far better than anything you could come up with in this situation considering their is no perfect parallel.

The most important thing here is that I know if I was Bomb I would feel like I earned first and while having a gold pixel next to my name, a bronze one that goes down in history might be even more fun to have. Bomb knows what place he earned. So does wishbone. They should both feel like they earned 1st, and both be happy with it. Regardless of the color of their medal.
