Here's an example.......
Ok i compiled the stats....over the last 75 days (jan. feb. march) bombardier has played 2,360 games....at the 10 min. per game average (obviously some go much longer but some are faster)...that is 23,600 minutes played...which comes to 393 hours played...which divided by 75 comes to an AVERAGE of 5.3 hours a day..... i averaged in a 2 minute wait between games for tables to fill... and it comes out to about 6.0 hours a day SIX HOURS A DAY im no saint...my stats come out to almost an hour a day... but come on 6 hours a day and im sure there are some people that are worse or just as bad.... is it even possible to play this game 6 hours a day and have an actual life? listen people..i love this game too but pls..if you find yourself neglecting the real world....KDICE ISNT THAT IMPORTANT yes i realize i just wasted my OWN time posting this...pls nobody point that out p.s. pwnd....n00b (everyone else says it) |

at 10:11 AM, Monday March 17, 2008 EDT OK, copy paste from one of my earlier posts: I would like to find a way to combine the good things of the ELO point days with the good things about the current point system. During ELO days, playing lots of games wasn't needed but there were other things that made me retire during those months anyway. What if, for the members, you could chose what your player profile is. 1) casual (but addicted) player: 2500 starting points, unlimited number of games allowed 2) semi-competitive player: 10000 starting points, only allowed to play 500 tables or higher, maximum 150 games total, 80 (or 100) games minimum with at least 20 (or 25) of 2500 games 3) competitive player with not much time to play: 25000 starting points, only allowed to play 2500 tables or higher, maximum 60 games total, 40 games minimum with at least 10 10k games If you don't play your minimum number of games required, your score is not taken into account for the leaderboard. I doubt beginning players that take option 3 will end up with a lot of points in the end so what?s the harm. As a result of this new point system: we will have much more 2,5k and 10k games (woohoo for the people that like big stakes), beginning players won't complain any more about "elite" players roaming around the 500 tables, skilled players without the time to play 300 games a month have again a good shot at the leader board. |

at 10:31 AM, Monday March 17, 2008 EDT An average of 5-10 games each day isn't too much. The most important is what aren't you doing while playing kdice. I used to play instead of watching TV from 10 to 12 P.M.
The danger for me is the number of american friends I've met here, with his weird schedules... that really can affect my sleep time. Btw, this month I'm not playing an it's healthy too. |

at 11:08 AM, Monday March 17, 2008 EDT I think the different league play is a great idea.
and yeah, there's more than a few people who have an unhealthy addiction to this game. I'm actually pretty glad I'm trying to get over it. |

at 2:50 PM, Monday March 17, 2008 EDT I like the idea of having league play. Even maybe tournements that start with 49 players and the 7 winners play together and then the winner gets a certain amount of points? like poker? i dunno i just know that when i see people that waste 6 hours of their lives playing kdice...it scares me...

let people play if they want to play. what would we do with our work day if kdice wasn't here? PS - posted from work. :) |

at 5:33 PM, Monday March 17, 2008 EDT i was kinda hoping bombardier would respond to this and defend himself...like maybe tell us that his job is actually ryan's secretary and he's supposed to be on kdice as much as possible to make sure it's functioning properly
