"Has anyone realized that girls don't get attacked in kdice? I mean people that didn't know me would just a/s/l me all the time instead of attacking me when I had Sophies pic on."

fact. some players will come onto any avatar which is even vaguely feminine.

on the other side of the coin, being called a bitch/slut/whore etc when you attack someone is pretty annoying. i'd like to give a special mention to 12-year old player sam_warrier here for deciding i was a lesbian. good logic there.....

being a girl in a war game helps when you're around sex-starved geeks, but i'm sure the majority of players on here have the intelligence to judge players by their skill and wit rather than their gender. the issue here is PGA rather than gender, so aiden being a girl isn't really relevant.

we've had the whole gender issue forum post already, though, so no need to stir all that up again.

I'm going to try this one more time.

PGA= pre game alliance

we didnt have a pga. i said to snooze

"you want to go for it?"

he said

"umm..."

then I attacked you. I had now special power over him, and he could have just sat back and watch us duke it out. But he enjoys a challenge, so he decided to attack the 1st place player...

which happened to be you... the player still crying over spilled milk. You were routed and if you had paid any attention you would have seen it coming. Listen here missy, BEFORE the flag system was up, it was COMMON for 2nd and 3rd to team up against 1st simply because it was a new challenge presented in the game. is it now illegal to not honor flags? Is it cheating? of course not! Nor does one have to flag just because a few others have tucked their tails and cut-and-run before the game resolves itself naturally. Your argument is flaw and one sided, your side. You didnt pick up on the revolution happening on the board that particular game, not my fault, not snews88's fault. If you want someone to blame for losing battles, email ryan and tell him this whole multiplayer thing is just too deceptive and dishonest. He would probably agree with you.

peace out

Yep. It is "me again"
Please do not call me missy? I am not a girl. Not that you should get that from seeing my avatar. But I guess it is good to let you know.

My original message had 6 words :).
You did your PGA, I posted the message.
I never mentioned flags. Nobody did flag.
No crying. No milk :)

Then you answered. With no real arguments. Just trying to diminish your opponent by stating how more experienced you are :).
Nothing related to the real matter of my accusation.

In your second message :), you said, about my message: "Your argument is flaw and one sided, your side" Of course is on my side. Duh! I am arguing in my favor. No need to state the obvious! Is it flawed? Why? Do I have to quote Ryan again? His statement is simple. It does not have anything to do with flags or your version of the history of kdice. State your truces in the chat. That is all you have to do. In the case of our game, the outcome would have been the same, but you would not be here reading this :)

Now, if you don't like your name to be posted here, then play fair and nobody is going to complain :) If a bad game practice lasts for a long time, it does not become good. And please, do not come back with your history-of-kdice comments and how old, experienced and skillful you are (no pun intended).

Thank you for reading the whole message :)

PGA = Pre Game Alliance

we had no Pre game alliance.

If I pick up on nuances of the game that you don't, I am not cheating any more than intelligent people are cheating out stupid people.

the end thanks for playing

youagain, i just have one honest question for you:

if you intend to build for 4 turns before you attack blue, do you write "hey blue I am gonna build for 4 turns and then attack you"

why reveil your evil plans? you give away the advantage you have to your opponent.

Aside from my question, I didn't see the game so i can't comment on the actual game but: if i am in a similar game where my dice + dice of other player are close to the number of dice of the guy in first i definitely have a go for 1st too.

Odds of taking on the fight increases a lot if the potential truce buddy is highly ranked. Why? cuz i know this person is skilled, knows the game, probably has tendency to go for higher place too,...

On the other hand if things are reversed and i have to truce with a low ranked player to compete against say snews or any other top25 player, i am more cautious. Why? cuz i don't know the tactics of this unknown person so well, he might flag early and back out, he migth even backstab me if things go wrong, the big guy will probably remember i revolt easily and attack me sooner in other games to be safe, the high ranked player is probably smart enough to defend his place and might kick me out first,...

So without criticising you, looking at your rank and knowing the other 2 players, it is a logic move to attack you without having to make it clear in the chat.

So as an advise: keep reading chat well but try to develop a radar for unspoken ingame truces too. You probably could have prevented it that game by focussing early on on the smallest of both or using your diplomatic skills in chat.

Hi Jurgen,

I agree with you about what I did during the game. I actually said in a previous message that the outcome of the game would have probably been the same without the PGA.

I am not complaining about the more than 500 hundred points that went to those two players.
I am not saying you should call all your moves. Just state your (pre) game alliances. Do it right at the beginning, if the alliance was established before the game started. For the other players, it is unfair not knowing that you are not fighting two different players but one opponent with two armies. That breaks the balance of forces a player expects at the beginning of a fair game.

What I found deceptive in that game was what you called "unspoken ingame truces" between two players that apparently know each other so well they don't need to truce in the chat. Quite close to PGA, isn't it? Remember that PGA is supposed to cause your points to be erased.

My message won't make them to lose their points. But I am sure the few people that read this will be aware of their behaviour.

Snews88 won't lose his 1st place in the ranking. He has been doing much better than me for a long time. Aiden, ... I still have my doubts on the way she is getting her points this month. The previous months.... mmmm, did she say she was a better player than me? Yeah, in October, when I was a rookie!
