ok so anyone that knows me...knows that i dont like Pat Whalen...he's as close to a PGE as you can be without actually suiciding on him..cuz thats not how fiero rolls. anyways... today i went to sit at a table and get the message "You are not allowed to sit with Pat Whalen, for the remainder of the month."
Ironically....its 230AM and there's only 1 high stakes tables playing at a time...so i cant play unless i can beat him to red... how stupid...how can i be banned from someone i dont even like? |

at 3:43 PM, Tuesday February 26, 2008 EST no, because excluding them serves the same purpose as including them, and if the RC goes by score then these games would only throw it off

at 6:11 PM, Tuesday February 26, 2008 EST I think that all this banning of high rated players has made it a lot harder for anyone to advance. It seems like now we get a lot more 500 tables full of > 10k players, and subsequently a lot more 100 tables full of >2500 players, and even the 0 tables are full or players who don't completely suck. As a result, it's a lot harder to advance and get away from bad players than I remember it being before.

Ryan I know you may not really want to share the complete algo for fear of some of the more industrious players looking for ways around it. With that said though if you could at least give a general overview of your thinking in the process, so far you have given some but much is still pretty vague. The community loves the game and many of the changes that have occured in kdice over time has been because of user generated comments and request and at least some of in the community love the idea of the RC and want it to work but at the same time there have been unintended consequences and people that don't PGA together have been hit for a series of good games which you yourself have said are part of the game. Time may cure all the ills the RC is causing now, but maybe there are solutions that can get us healthy sooner, I dunno. |

Why not call it SDice? or probably better yet CDice? Everyone is equal! Long live mediocrity! |
