I think Don's right about Jergen's being right about Jerry being right - Ryan your new metrics don't work without the community. Give us a chance to see the stats and we can enforce our own justice without relying on the heavy hand of the admin. Also useful to see what players are blocked from sitting with each other (per your feb 1 blog posting)

Jeremy, looking at the number of posts I think it is clear now that your idea is not that bad either but clearly Jerry's idea has a much broader support.

So keep up the good work with the great ideas (but hate to point it out again, not as good as ...)

I agree this would be good. I just have to figure out how to do it in a lightweight manner. These are expensive queries.

considering the cost associated with it, i don't see it's adding a lot of value. how many visit the profile page other than the player him/herself anyway....not many would be my guess.

instead, have a voting system for the best and worst avatar is more fun. and at the end of the month, everyone votes on the top 5 and find a winner.

kdicefreak, of course you don't have to read everybodys profile but if you have suspiscions about a certain player, reading his profile page can sometimes give you usefull information.

I don't know if this idea would take as much calculation power but maybe - after the table is filled - all 7 players could be crossreferenced and checked for suspect interactions. I agree with Ryan that above a certain correlation limit players should be banned from sitting together but if friendships tend to evolve towards pga, those people should first be sanctioned with warning flags next to both their avatar so other players can see it as well (and they might even not be aware that they have a tendency to play too much together). Only problem with these flags is that it might further force those "friends" to ally anyway since all other players will gang up on them just to be safe.
