Rolls...WTF?

There have been some seriously ridiculous rolls going on in games.

Did something change? Was some probability changed? Cause this game is starting to suck.

If EVER have two 8v4's lose consecutively again, I'll quit. There's no point in playing. Dead game.

Love,

Jonny

let's make some rough estimates:

about 1.500.000 recorded games now

let's assume conservatively only 2 out of 3 games have at least 1 8v4 tried -> 1 million game with a 8v4. Stats learn that this attack has a 99% succes rate -> 10.000 8v4 attacks fail

It's not uncommon that such a 8v4 loss is folowwed by another 8v4 try. Of course this is all wild guessing but let's say 1/20 first fails result in a second 8v4. out of those 500 second tries, guess what, about 5 will result in another frustrating loss. In this simple estimation , we leave out all other equally frustrating losses like 7v4;7v3;6v4 that might follow this 8v4 loss

So this means that what you encountered was both frustrating and rare but in fact not unexpected. Bottom line, you have 1/10000 chance of failing 2 consecutive 8v4 but you also have a close to 99% chance of winning both. If someone would take the time to estimate how many games had at least one +3 loss folowwed by another +3 loss, you would end up with a surpringly high amount of games. My guess for 2 consecutive +2 losses in 1 game would be 2-3% of the games so actually it is quite common.

So congratulations because something very very rare happend to you. You should post in on your profile.

No...you know what. I've seen that phenomenon more this month than previous months.

Something is different. Its almost as if rolls are coming out lower. More ones being rolled than sixes.

And it seems that the individual dice attacking rolls are coming out lower than defending rolls, or the converse.

Man, I was complaining about rolls LAST month. This month's even worse. Are they trying to remove strategy as a factor altogether?

Seriously, I'm tired of losing 5v3 rolls, only to turn around and have someone win a couple 3v4 rolls against me. My luck is 46.7%. I'm looking at the page title in the title bar of my browser window... it say, "KDice - Online STRATEGY Game" (emphasis on STRATEGY is mine). I'm am reading that correctly, am I not? If this keeps up, they're gonna have to change it to "KDice - Online Game" for accuracy.

I agree, rolls are really upsetting. It's very painful to see this.
And I believe that it's deliberate change in the code. I've been playing this game for over a year, and I noticed that last 2 months are full of WTFs, WOWs, and JFCs. Please change it back to the way it used to be!
