Utah is full of Mormons so any beauty points it gets for natural beauty it loses it for that.

dude one of my professors tells a story. he was in teh navy and stationed in some smallass town in idaho that was completely mormon. from his account, mormon girls are NOT allowed to do all kinds of shit, like drinking coffee, drinking alcohol, getting tattoos, etc... which leaves them with only ONE VICE that they abuse a lot. which he gladly took advantage of.

so, not sure if that is the case in utah too, but mormon girls are usually pretty hot due to all the legalism on what theyre allowed to do... and at the same time (according to him), they like to have a lot of... erm... fun.

but still, you make the valid point that the religion takes away from the beauty of the state.

But really, the answer is Virginia. It's got to be up there in every catagory- beauty, history, people, cities, diverse landscape and people.
