Now don't get me wrong! I hold no illusions whatsoever of ever seeing a truce-free kdice. There's no way of preventing truces, and even if there were, it probably wouldn't be implemented. I probably won't even get more than two people who agree with me. But God damn it, this thread is for bitching about truces, and I for one am going to do it!
I never truce! Truces are lame. They require no strategy on anyone's part. Someone says, "who wantz truce lolz?" and then truces with the first person who accepts. Then they proceed to gang bang the poor sap who would have won except that he doesn't make truces. The poor sap in this hypothetical situation is me. I know my score is terrible. Don't say I'm bitching just because I suck. I just said it. I'm bitching because I suck. BEAT YOU TO IT. That is all. |

at 7:32 PM, Friday November 30, 2007 EST A truce is a lot like a... a refrigerator! They're about six feet tall, 300 pounds. They make ice and, um... Oh, wait a minute. Actually, a truce is more like a beer. They smell good, they look good and you'd step over your own mother just to get one! But you c an't stop at one. You wanna drink another truce!
in b4 "you've made that reference before." |

Don't underestimate the power of the counter-true. If its response is quick, efficient and attacks the right areas, they're often in a good position. |

at 9:04 PM, Friday November 30, 2007 EST I'm with you SDZion.... I can understand the 'unsaid truce' where its not in my best interest to attack you, so i won't and hopefully i won't be attacked in return. For now. But the people who actually ask for truces, are the ones i usually kill first if possible.
People crap on about there is skill in trucing, there isn't. What kind of skill does it take to pick someone who if you team up with, you will obviously win - where is the skill in that? I am for, counter trucing though... I think thats what everyone should do - as soon as 2 people truce, everyone attack them and only them until they are dead, then get back to the game... |

at 12:16 PM, Saturday December 1, 2007 EST Zion, we played some times. I dunno, u guys always forget something... kdice not only about luck, it more needs psichological and political sense I think, and of course good strategy. Thats all, my english sux, maybe my luck sux too, but I think truces over 5-6 turns are correct and can be useful. Or if that not enough, it can gives to players more exciting and variable strategical situations... example, without truces u never would be able to attack when standing next to an another powerful enemy... so what u do? wait, pass the turn. Doing this in turns simply waiting who will get better restock and attack after, thats sux...
sorry, I said my english poor and I don't want to care about my grammar. Cheers! |

However, too early a truce, I've seen EVERYONE else on the board counter it, which is really funny. |
