How does these 600+ score players do it?

This game is for 99% pure luck, if you have a bad start, you can't change it and lose 30 to 50 points, if you have a good start, but bad dice, you lose 30 to 50 points, if you have a good start, and good dice, you can lose by bad luck in restack. This goes on in several rounds.....somehow it is impossible to win more than to lose, when realy lucky, you win 3 on a row, but 10 on a row? (to get to 600+) that's a luck this players can better use on real money, or there's some trick to it? Tell me, sport's getting over for me here.......................

1. Get into a good defensive position early in the game (1st or 2nd round). If I don't I usually resign on the 4th turn. 2. Once you get control of the game. Don't attack any of the players unless you are afraid of losing control. This is crucial. Don't just let somebody fight it out for 2nd or 3rd. You want as many players in the game as possible once you gain control. 3. Get out early if you are not going to win. Or if you are relying on somebody else to get knocked off before you just get out. 4. Play it smart. Be a conservative player. You start with 3 connected countries just pass on your first turn and let everybody else run then. I can't tell you how many games I've seen where people have had 3 or 4 connected countries to start and have blown it. 5. Play on the higher ranked tables when you get the points. If you hang out at the 10 point table you will never see 600. Win one game on the 200 table and you can get 300-400 points. People who pga to get to the 600 rank. really blow. |
