The TAPL has an adjustment for the level of table at which you play. See chapter iii at the comment on my profile page. To adjust your TAPL for level of table, multiply it by 2.62 for each level of table above the 0/10 level at which you customarily play your games. For example, if you play all your games at 200+ tables, multiply your TAPL of 279 by 2.62 to get 731. If you play all your games at the 1000+ tables, multiply your 279 by 2.62 x 2.62 to get 1915. If you play half your games at the 200+ tables and half at the 1000+ tables, multiply half of your 279 by 2.62 and the other half by 2.62 x 2.62 to get 1292. And so on. |

Your TAPL is 1772. To all: The TAPL measures your skill in terms of place after flagging (for second place downward) but not just before flagging. Under the old Elo system if everyone flagged, ending the game, they kept whatever place they had. Under the present system, flagging sends you to the bottom of the heap (or, if someone else flags, you might gain a place). What would the distribution of places for players of equal skill look like if flagging was purely random? Would it still be a uniform distribution? If it isn't, I need to rework the TAPL to incorporate the new flagging rules. |
