wouldn't it be simplest just to make the new version and the old version available?

I'd love to hear the argument against this.

I suppose, unless Ryan doesn't want to have to get a host for another server or something. I really don't have an argument, but I also don't know a whole lot about getting hosts for websites or running a multiplayer game. Maybe it could happen easily, or it may be difficult.

Well, it would splinter the community in half, and be confusing to new players as to which one to play.

I guess that wouldn't be bad, more money coming out of Ryan's pocket though.

huh? what's wrong with just having some tables be new rules and some be old rules, and put a divider between them on the list ... there's no need for "another server", and it wouldn't cost more money .. weird answers, people.

I don't think that you can have just some tables be one way, and some be the other. That's why Ryan had to host the test server on his PC.

If that was possible I'm sure Ryan would have done it.

Or maybe when you log in theres a screen that says:
"New version or Old Version" and you pick which one you want to play. But yeah, once again, if that was possible he probably would of done it by now. :(

To quote Ryan in chat: "there can be only one"

So even though copyright has offered to have the old version available, it will not be allowed to happen, based on the chat I had.

As I've been told in my life, you'll get what I give you and you'll like it. Just another life lesson.

You guys are hilarious. "It's not possible to have both". Step away from the computer, it is a magical box that gets to decide what is "possible" and there is no way for a human to tell it what to do and if you anger it it might attack you LOL.

No. Of course it's not simpler to offer two versions. How could having two different versions be simpler than having one?
