In order to play kdice, you have to choose a name for your account. And - unfortunately - you can't change it later.
Maybe some of you have thought very deeply what name to choose. Maybe some did it without any thinking at all. Some of the names may mean something, some may be completely accidental. Would you like to share with us, why have you chosen just such name you did? Is there any idea, any story behind your name? |

skrumgaer wrote
at 5:09 AM, Monday August 27, 2007 EDT Skrumgaer is derived from Skrumager, which is a surname which translated roughly means "one who defends the flag". At least that is what was told to me by someone who had that name. "Skrum" comes from the same root from which we get scrum, scrimmage, and skirmish. What is suggested is rough fighting at close quarters. "Gaer", or "geyer", or "gyr" is a vulture or vulture-sized bird. So "skrumgaer" is "a vulture who fights roughly at close quarters".

So you see, my name has nothing to do with the picture. When i saw the picture of the old caveman, i directly knew that it was a fun picture to take. And playing the caveman lead to some fun talks. And peolpe stand up to give the old man a free seat at the table. (Come on someone stand up i need to sit my back is hurting) |

at 11:34 PM, Monday August 27, 2007 EDT Jdizzle came from the creativity of a friend. We have a library at school and you sign in to make sure your not skipping a class. It was lunch, and I walked past it, but he stayed and singed us both in. He signed in as T-MAC and me as JDizzle (related to the T and J in our names, respectively)
I just logged on to a computer to create another kdice account (I think so, b/c I have forgotten my first account's password) I asked him what a good nickname would be, and he told me "JDizzle, because that's what I put down on the sign in sheet". He also signed up on kdice as "T-MAC". However, kdice hasn't stuck for him, as well as some of my other friends. And the 787 was just a random set of numbers; I either closed my eyes or typed the fastest set of numbers I could make up, and 787 appeared, and it looked cool. |
