This game would only be about a trillion times better if we did our own restacks

Ten second time limit or it gets done for you on the current algorithm. I'm willing to wait an extra minute for my turn if it means I can not lose the game to my or someone else's unlucky restack.

at 6:38 AM, Wednesday August 15, 2007 EDT what about having the option to choose whether you want to use your dices to restack or to put them aside for later use? It happens now when you have all 8's, but what if you could do it even before?

at 1:37 PM, Wednesday August 15, 2007 EDT I agree, Mr. Monroe. People here are right, it WOULD make it more like the game Risk. But isn't that what this game is emulated from in the first place? I prefer Risk to this game any day, the luck factor should only come into play on dice rolling, not restacks.
Then again, have you ever played Risk? It takes HOURS to complete a game. There could be a set amount of time for placing your restacks, and whatever dice you've not placed by that time limit are randomly distributed on your lands. |

(That sounded vaguely filthy.) |

at 6:25 PM, Wednesday August 15, 2007 EDT No, Mr. Carlo, other people suffer just as much when I pull six of my dice in the only territory I don't want, and I suffer just as much as the others when it happens to them.
Incidentally, I see you haven't played for two months. Too many people got pissed at you for making a PGA? If you'd wasted half of the time on useless internet games as I have, you'd know it was spelled n00b. If y'all had read my comment, you'd see I said "ten second time limit." I'm not talking about doubling the turn time, I'm talking about increasing every round by less than a minute. |

at 9:56 AM, Thursday August 16, 2007 EDT well, I first of all don't mind a game that actually requires skill! It's that much more frustrating when you have NO control over you losing than it does when you do.
I can accept the fact I suck. i can't accept the fact that I lost cuz a douchebag next to me got an eight in the first round, and because of that, he's going to last to the final three. It's honestly not fun to have to deal with your restacks. Now, trying to make it different than risk, is one thing. But honestly, the tables might turn on the leaders if it was up to us as to where to put the dice. This game is a cheap alternative to risk. I can't see why people don't support this more. I mean, do you guys accept having your score (for those of you who take this game a little more seriously) thrown around by some newb with a seven stack in the third round? (happening to me right now). It really ruins the larger aspect of this game, which is strategy. As much as I am impress by grun's ability to seemingly show some strategy with this game, there's very little that can be done when it comes to just dumbass luck with restacks, and increasingly ridiculous luck with rolls. |

at 10:51 AM, Thursday August 16, 2007 EDT In my humble, and oh so important opinion, Risk is far superior to kdice when it comes to strategy. In Risk, not only do you control your restacks, but you also are privy to "table talk" (no IMing), and, drum roll please dddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd there is only ONE winner. No points awarded for second, no whining about ninjas, no point in letting one person win. It's genius.
Can i play Risk online somewhere? That'd be swell. But then again it wouldn't, because of proxies, PGA's, IMing, etc. This will have to do for now until I can find enough geeky friends to start a Risk league. NNNNNEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRDDDDDDDDD. |
