There are a few questionable avatars,
less offensive than those reported for gpokr (http://aplayr.com/user/i%20fucked%20ya%20mum/, http://aplayr.com/user/fuck%20a%20aussie/): http://aplayr.com/user/silent%20souljah/ http://img.aplayr.com/usr64/23899624.gif http://aplayr.com/user/luffyluff/ http://img.aplayr.com/usr64/27400932.gif http://aplayr.com/user/prizefighter/ http://img.aplayr.com/usr64/27556392.gif http://aplayr.com/user/12thmonkey/ http://img.aplayr.com/usr64/27269541.gif also, it seems that 1 in 4 kdice players keep the original smiley. |

at 2:54 AM, Monday July 30, 2007 EDT DoND, has someone asked you to be this obsequious, or were you a hall monitor or some other kind of Hitler Youth in school? I'm not saying you're damaged and looking to somehow validate your own repression by spoiling others' fun, but something along those lines. You need help.

at 11:15 AM, Monday July 30, 2007 EDT Deal looks like he's just trying to clean up the environment a bit. Nothing wrong with that, there are kids here after all and it's up to us "adults" to protect them, is it not?
Only problem is determining the definition of "offensive". Ryan's call, I suppose. |

at 12:48 PM, Monday July 30, 2007 EDT Wrong. Parents are only human. Most parents don't know what their kids are doing on the internet, and simply don't have the knowledge, social circle, or time to keep up with "nanny" technologies. Other people stepping in and helping out, as small and significant their help seems, is always appreciated.

at 1:51 PM, Monday July 30, 2007 EDT Appreciated, perhaps. Required? No. Look, the sooner kids realize that there are some unsavory morons lurking about in this world, the better off they'll be. There's no protection for innocence because, well, there is really no innocence to begin with, but also because it's impossible.
This isn't a Children's Crusade, it's moralizing. Now if Ryan has asked for someone to clean the avatars up, more power to DoND. If not, then he's just making himself feel a trifle more holy by "saving" us from naughty images. |

at 3:17 PM, Monday July 30, 2007 EDT Haha, having morals is bad now? And I strongly doubt it's a minority, most people I meet on here are good folks.
Muting chat and clicking an avatar to turn it off are security practices similar to doors that lock from the outside. |

at 5:13 PM, Monday July 30, 2007 EDT Two things:
1) Z3ddicus is apparently back. Or just roaming the forum like me 2)Frre speech don't mean shit to a tree, honestly. Now, to say what I mean: My sociology tteacher explained this in a very good way, which is how I'm gonna do it now: You can't just run around offending everyone and saying fuck the world because this is a free country. There is also another part, where we have the right to feel protected and safe in this glorious country known as the U.S.A. I know free speech is great, but that's my arguement against these morons with no values and a bad sense of humor. It's just not cool sometimes, and frre speech can have consequences. I'm not anti-american or what have you, just trying to argue against the dumbest comeback whenever we bitch about an avatar |
