Yearning for the kdice days of yore...

I've been playing this game for awhile--since back when you could score over 100 points in a game and every other game ended by lagging out permanently. Players would chat about where they're from, crack jokes, talk about their day, etc. The good old days. Now it seems you can't play a game without someone bitching about truces, yelling at you for attacking while flagged, freaking out when they are attacked while flagged, accusing someone of pretrucing, flipping out for continuing to play instead of flagging, mourning the loss of their rank for that day, or berating someone for what they did three games ago. Now there are 50 different versions of "unwritten rules," kdice elitists, and occasionally a complete asshole or two. I suppose its the nature of the community as it grows, but it is unfortunate. To prove my point, note the smartass belittling comments that are sure to follow this comment, or just tune in to any chat. Yes, yes, I know, if I don't like it I don't have to play. I'll have to think about that one.
And that's all I've got to say about that. |

at 1:15 PM, Tuesday May 8, 2007 EDT I'm going to have to disagree with manfred. I think the "elitism" and trucing and PGA/PGE makes it fun for me. It is much more like the real world in that sense. I'd rather have friends that I know and can trust, yet occasionally will turn on just for fun.
ha maybe i'll get flamed for that but whatever. |
