...like the union, but... not.
First off, my fellow kdicers, I'd like to say that the state of the kgame is STRONG! The new scoring system is working well and the #1 reason for its implimentation, which was to encourage activity among the top players, has worked to great success. There are nay-sayers who argue that those who play too often have an undue advantage, and perhaps there is some truth to this - though those who played a ton in the old system also increased their odds to eventually get on a long winning streak too, so it is difficult to compare oranges to grapefruits. The good news is that the game's designer has in the past and continues to demonstrate a great concern to make this game more fun and the best it can possibly be. Ry, I think we all tip a collective hat to you, good sir. The monthly contests have proven to be a success, and I especially like to see that players who are ranked in the 26-100th places are scraping and scrapping and digging for whatever they can to get trophies. I hear a lot of players tell me they want to crack the top 100 and it's fun to see that the achievements are not solely limited to those in the top 25, thus permitting more players to have something fun to compete for. As a side note, the OMG someone allied, EVERYONE COUNTER!!!???!?!? phenomenon has proved to be a bit disheartening as of late, I am rather convinced it is a flavor of the month trend and will be shortlived. Truces are just way too effective to be ignored as a viable means of winning and people will come to their senses soon enough. The trophies mentioned before are an excellent addition of late and make it possible to at long last show off to all your friends how well you are (or have been) at kdice. If a player likes nothing about the new scoring system, at the very least they must agree that it is good for the game to have some sort of indication on each persons page about their history of successes. Such is the state of kgame and perhaps future addresses will be had. So speaketh the Grun, signing off. *drops his gavel* shit, wher'd it go? damnit... SARAH!!! Get me some chocolate.. who spilled my wine? arrrgh, where's my motivation supposed to come from now.. |
