Grun to the rescue!

The forum blows lately. I guess I'm the only one with any creative juices left.. haha

This post is for EPIC Kdice stories.
(non epic stories need not apply)

Here's one (of the hundreds) of mine -

Couple months ago I was in a game with riser, pinkgirl, and someone I cant remember. Musta been someone not as talented and known as riser, or as known and goodlookin' as pnkgirl.. anyways.

Board Layout = a horizontal rectangle, more or less. I'm blue in the bottom left. Riser is red in the north. Pinkgirl is purple in the east. Someone of little consequence is in the bottom right.

Riser and I are tied for first and being civil, but not allied and moving east.. eating poor pinkgirl and mopping up weak territories of the 5-7th place losers. I build up + dice while riser keeps at it.

Suddenly, in one move, I attack 5 times and 4 punch through, a massive cut-fest with 3 major arteries severed. Teal flags, being over purple, but WAY thin, whereas purple has 8 stacks. Riser fights back to link, but I tear into purple, cutting purple 2x into thirds.

Cussing ensues, followed by "I would have flagged to you.." but now we have an epic battle going on. I'm the clear leader, but EVERYONE on the board is gunning for me. Suddenly teal has a 4 land empire but attacks me every chance. Red connects a little bit again up north into a 5 land empire and cuts me a little.

Every single battle from then on out was a cut or a sweet reconnect. It was epic. We even said.. wow, this game is pretty epic (at the time). The two or three viewers said they never saw anything quite like it.

So I took on three players, a 4 land empire of 8 stacks, a 7 land empire of 8 stacks and a 10 land empire all of 8 stacks, though highly cut up.

Turn after turn the tide kept changing. Pinkgirl looked like she might kill me, then I did an overcut, reconnecting deeper into her lines. Then red reconnected, so I had to turn my attention back to severing, otherwise he would soon be a massive threat at the core of my empire. Meanwhile teal had no natural challenge so he just picked a land here and there but I didnt have the time or resources to dedicate to stop the front.

eventually, by sheer will and a little luck, cut after cut, reconnect after disconnect, the mighty blue empire stood strong. Flags went up, and I said put them down.

Teal had a 2 land empire and was meaningless all game, I said, I refuse to let him place over you two valiant fighters.

(this was back when the scoring was all by place)

So, (mind you, the two of them are still fighting me) I keep cutting them while focusing on a now-6 land teal empire and mowed em down to 1. Finally flags were raised.

84 rounds of battle came to a dramatic conclusion...

It was the single most thoroughly enjoyable victory of my kcareer.

Mightly Grun's blue carried the day, riser 2nd, pink 3rd, teal 4th.

My favorite game was with CHolmes, against two other people I can't remember. It was not long after the domination scoring was implemented. Well, I had truced with Cholmes, and I believe he was brown, I was yellow, and we were facing purple and red.

CONTINUED...(Stupid Keyboard) The situation was that Me and purple were the largest, but Red was threatening, growing a little stronger than Holmes, but they still traded blows. I Set up Holmes by giving him a spot of mine, so he could defend his smaller stacks behind him.

There is ensuing conflict b/w me and purple, and at one time, he had me with a knife to my throat to cut me, and end me and Holmes run at winning. Holmes, sadly, I don't think he survived, but was a valuable ally for keeping red at bay.

The epic part about this was the fight b/w me and purple. Now, purple had what seemed like a good half of the map, compared to the rest of us. I had a feeling I wasn't going to win, until my 8's won a few here and there, bring ing us back to even. We start going back and forth, trading territories, until the dreadful pattern started occurring for purple. Out of his last attacks, about 17 or so lost. I mowed him down like nothing. This is an epic story only in that, I was a goner, had purple cut me and defended one turn. Instead, he lost on virtually every attack against me, and that impervious felling is like one of the gods (embellishments and all)

ok i got one for ya. my memory sucks, so this had to be a game that just happened.. and well.. so this just happened.

ive got a kinda crappy start. i have 3 lands in the northeast corner of the map, which is a good place to be usually.. except my lands (4 connected to a 3, and a lone 4) are divided by a red 5 stack and someone else's 3.

opening move.. 4v5 from the loner to make my situation look.. a whole lot better.. 4v3 victory to connected what is now a meager 5 land empire. still, things are looking up.

i have brown in my backyard, and its lief... so we've got a real kamikazee on our hands. brown takes a 5 from the back and splits my by taking a three.. its on now, *them be fighting words.*.

theres another threat here too, uukrul's in the south, he's blue, and he's got a nice 6 stack breathing on my big stack, a 4.

so i split brown, hes either gotta take his 6 back where it came from, to reconnect, or get greedy and 6v4 me, possibly leaving himself split.

the crowd is hushed.

brown loses the 6v4, and everyone rejoices. one threat down.

long story short.. blue turns and goes south, threat gone, i expand like a fool, and theres flags all around.

good game guys.

I had one that I think Vohaul witnessed. It was the best comeback ever. All I had left was one territory with 2 dice. I came in a strong second :D

I also almost won two games at he same time, but crazy lag gave me a second on one and firs ton another.

I have had some fun games, to bad I cannot remember any. This thread is great, although Grun is the best at recounting great exploits, I hope to read more soon.
