at 12:09 PM, Thursday December 28, 2006 EST If you go first you can get reinforcements immediately and shore up weaker countries you onw. Meanwhile if you go last you will lose those weaker countries AND your stronger countries become relatively weaker as those around them get reinforcements. By the time you go, not only are you down to half or worse of your dice, but others have gained dice.

at 12:56 PM, Thursday December 28, 2006 EST So the one going first is screwed, because he gets reinforcements always after everybody else has moved while the last gets it right away? Because of that and various other reasons: NOPE

at 3:13 PM, Thursday December 28, 2006 EST I've seen plenty of instances where the 6th or 7th player have all/most of their territories due to everybody else ganging up on each other/trying to establish an area of the board/etc.

at 5:36 PM, Thursday December 28, 2006 EST That can be true for first and maybe 2nd round, but the idea is to do that generally. Example: 2 players left in 8v8 phase ... do I have to describe? After all: I do not see a disadvantage in going last. If I have a 6 dice stack or to 5s, I hate being one of the first, cause you have to take high risks, cause not many dice have been killed yet. If you have 4&3 stacks, u want to go early and connect to get a 5 stack to survive the critical phase in the beginning. It just is a game of luck, u can't help it, but play risk or sth else
