There should be a log of actions that an advisor (moderator) takes on a players account. This is very simple and is definitely needed. (it does not necessarily need to be on public display, but advisors and Ryan should be able to check it).
It would benefit the community because advisors would not be able to moderate on a whim, but have their actions recorded so that they have to have a justifiable reason for muting / banning, etc. EXAMPLE: If player x cusses up a storm and spams a chatbox and is warned and muted. The log would record: Grunvagr muted player x on June 19/ 2008 This way advisors would be held accountable for their actions. This way players would know what has occured to their accounts. More importantly, everyone knows what is going on and nobody can abuse advisor priviledges, and players will be aware of what's going on. This is a no-brainer and would benefit the community. All in favor? |
