at 5:41 PM, Monday May 28, 2007 EDT I'd just like to see the luck of the roll. I have no idea how it would be calculated, maybe it could just be done on 8v8 situations, how many you won, how many you lost, and the odds of each.

at 2:42 AM, Tuesday May 29, 2007 EDT You could get average values for your rolls. Something like:
# dice | # rolls | average -------+---------+-------- 1 | 3 | 3.5 2 | 5 | 7.0 3 | 9 | 10.5 ... Then you can see, if you differ from the expected value. And through the number you can see, if it is significant... I am afraid though, this will ruin my believe in the dice working against me ;-)) Or were you thinking of a statistic how often you win/lose 5vs4, 2vs6, ...? Could also be interesting, maybe distinguished between offense and defense... |

at 9:36 AM, Tuesday May 29, 2007 EDT or how about something like keeping track all attempetd rolls and whether the player wins them or loses them...
2v1-x 2v2=x 2v3=x 2v4=x 2v5=x 2v6=x 2v7=x 2v8=x etc... means nothing, just be a lil extra |

at 8:47 PM, Friday June 1, 2007 EDT If we assume that the function really is random, those statistics will be quite worthless since they will all be approximately equal for all players who have spent enough matches playing (Law of Large Numbers).
It feels like you are unlucky when you really really REALLY want to succeed with that one roll. And the next. And the next. And you take great note of when you actually fail, but don't really get that excited very often when you succeed. It's psychology, not statistics. To convince yourself of this, do like I did: Record one or two matches (copy paste frequently from the textfield) and then look at the dice rolls. You will see that you average on 1/6th for 1,2..,6. |
