at 10:56 PM, Wednesday February 28, 2007 EST the goal of this game is to dominate, and in order to do so, you need to take out others.....so why not get a reward for doing so? and such a score can be earned by everyone except the 7th place player.....thus makes the game more fair

at 1:46 PM, Thursday March 1, 2007 EST You're reward is the dominance points at the end of the game. You are right, the goal of the game is to dominate, but dominate means to be kill off everyone, not individuals.

at 5:21 PM, Thursday March 1, 2007 EST regardless of the morals of the kdice score system, this improvement would make it more fun. this is a game so lets make it more fun. getting some obscure amount of points for dominace may change our tactics, but adding this aswell will give people goals and will certainly make things more interesting. I'm totally for it.

at 9:29 AM, Friday March 2, 2007 EST adding to my suggestion: points can be calculated based on the absolute value of a percentage of the final score.
say we give 10% for each player you take out – e.g. 1 -Player finished 5th and took out 1 other, the score based on place and dominance is -30 -the absolute value of -30 * 10% is 3 (|-30*10%*1| = 3) -this players final score (based on dominance, place, and the # of players took out) is -30+3=27 e.g. 2 -Player finished 2nd and took out 3 others, the score based on place and dominance is 18 -the absolute value of 18 * 10% * 3 is 5.4 (|-30*10%*3| = 5.4, round off to 5) -this players final score (based on dominance, place, and the # of players took out) is 18+5=23 |

at 10:08 AM, Friday March 2, 2007 EST Znarf, the new scoring system takes care of that for the most part. When people just have one stack in the game, their score will suffer.

at 3:19 PM, Friday March 2, 2007 EST sometimes the stronger players keep those one-stackers in the game and attack the stronger players, just to boost their dominance score (or hurt the stronger player). incorporting this idea will give incentive for people to take out the weaker ones first.

at 1:17 AM, Friday November 14, 2008 EST What about farming? Hypothetical Joe is in 1st and owns half or more of the board (not very uncommon). He starts farming to boost his dominance, attacking the flagged in order from last to 2nd. Then, the one guy with 2 territories in the corner who did nothing all game and was just hoping for the best...that guy gets 2nd and 1st.
