the 8080 port might now work for some.

make sure you don't have another kdice window open too.

well after some advertisment, in 8-dice kdice we got to play 2 games on new style.

My review:
* the endgames are actually faster, at the very very end (2 players) you have still a short 16v16 game, but as one player quickly goes under 16 fields he looses fast after that.
* Its faster certain who is going to win the game (maybe a result of the even start distro)
* It hurts a lot, if your big-stack gots lost. e.g. your only 13 dice stack looses against 8. Big ouch!

A yes, comments were i guess positive and negative.

You wont be able to make anything now, without some people complaining that everything was fine the way it was :o)

Overall i think the game is more balanced with 16 dice. Although I'm not going to switch until people become comfortable with it.

If you haven't played try to organize a game by getting 7 people to go over.

So far the feedback is as follows:

Positive:
- powerfully awesome (tech)
- game stays active much longer, (no 8x8 showdown)
- reduced need for alliances, which I think were due to the 8x8 end game.
- its hard to figure out who will win - there is no clear winner until late in the game

Negative:
- longer games, (I don't think this is true, i think it may seem longer since the active part of the game is longer)
- bigger loses, its hard to loose 16 dice in one attack
- new strategy... its hard to change once you've learned to play the game one way.

1 more negative: It's way too random at the higher stages. Probability tells us that the more dice you have, the more random it becomes. I saw a guy lose an 18v11 battle ... bye 3 points. I think at the higher stages, it becomes even MORE luck oriented than 8 dice games.
