I've had a couple games where I thought I had a server hiccup on my end, but when I came back, three or four other players were "away." Even if I can get back into the game, all strategy is ruined, and the players that weren't affected by the "hiccup" are in a massively advantageous position. This takes a lot of fun out of the game.

Can there be an option to surrender and take a smaller hit to your rankings? If I come back from a blackout, and find that I only have one square left with four dice on it, right next to three guys with seven, I want to leave the game without losing ratings because of server errors.
